The group frequently calls upon the courts to enforce constitutional laws and to right obvious wrongs.

Ashli was an unarmed Air Force veteran who was shot and killed by Police Lieutenant Michael Byrd inside the capitol during the disorder by supporters of former President Trump. The suit has been filed in Federal District Court in California with claims for Babbitt's wrongful death and for assault, battery and the negligent behavior of police.

The incident prompted the Biden Department of Justice and the FBI under Director Christopher Wray to do their best to mitigate all comment about the shooting. For eight months, authorities declined to even identify the shooter of the woman and said only that a capitol policeman had simply done his duty in the face of the so called "insurrection," and needed to be protected from undeserved scorn and ridicule for "just doing his job as he was trained to do."

In August following the shooting, Byrd appeared on the Lester Holt TV show and was interviewed. Acknowledging that he had shot Ms. Babbitt, he said that <span color="rgba(2, 20, 31, 0.85)" style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">“I followed my training, and I spent countless years preparing for such a moment." At that moment, he stated, Babbitt “was posing a threat” to lawmakers in the House Chamber.

The shooting had overtones which contradicted a liberal attitude that racist white policemen are bigoted and prone to kill black men for little or no reasons.

Lt. Byrd, 55, is black, and has been a capitol policeman for about 30 years. Ashli Babbitt was a 35-year-old white woman who had served her country honorably in the Air Force. The incident of a black cop shooting a white, unarmed woman is contrary to the Democrat and mainstreeting media stories of how racism against blacks runs rampant in American police departments.

The belief that all white cops are looking for innocent black men to shoot was given national credence after George Floyd, a hardened black ex-convict with a lengthy police rap sheet, died while being arrested by a white Minneapolis patrolman in the spring of 2020.

This Ashli Babbitt killing does not fit the left wing narrative, and consequently, it was, and still is, being hushed up and kept in a darkened closet where embarrassing faux pas committed by Democrats get stashed away and left to wither and die without public awareness and fallout.

Approximately 1,000 participants in the Capitol disorder have been arrested, tried and jailed for their participation and alleged violence on January 6, but none was every charged with carrying a weapon or being an insurrectionist.

Byrd has a record of miscues and service violations as a policeman, but was never disciplined or fully investigated for the fatal shooting of Ashli Babbitt which was the only incident of gun violence in the melee of January 6.

According to the lawsuit, Ashli and others had been directed by a woman police officer to walk toward the House side. Ashli arrived at a hallway outside the Speakers lobby where two individuals had dislodged glass panels in lobby doors. Lt. Byrd, commanding the police unit on hand, shot Ashli on sight as she raised herself up into the opening of the broken door. the lawsuit charges.

Byrd has said that he shot Ashli, the lawsuit contended, without ever seeing her hands or assessing her intentions or after even identifying her as a woman. She was "ambushed" and "had posed no threat to anyone," the suit has charged. Multiple persons who witnessed the shooting by Byrd, who was not in uniform and never identified himself as a policeman, screamed at Byrd---"you just murdered her," the lawsuit said.

Witnesses have said that Ashli never even saw Byrd; and the lawsuit stated that the plain clothed officer never gave her any warnings or commands before shooting her dead with his Glock pistol. The medical examiner later determined that the manner of Ashli Babbitt's death was "homicide."

The suit further alleged that Byrd had a service record of being reckless with his Glock 22 pistol and that Congress and his superiors "knew or should have known that Byrd was prone to behave in a dangerous or otherwise incompetent manner."

In 2019, the airy-headed Byrd had left his loaded Glock on a bathroom counter in the Capitol Visitor Center complex (CVC). It was found during a routine security sweep later the same day by another officer. Reportedly, 15,000 to 20,000 people pass through the CVC center each day during the warm months. Reportedly Byrd apologized for his negligence, but was never disciplined.

Byrd, who reportedly has been promoted to captain, had his police powers revoked for brief periods on more than one occasion prior to January 6 for failing to meet firearm qualifications, the suit charged. Byrd reportedly had a reputation among peers for not being a "good shot."

On another occasion, Lt. Byrd's car was stolen and Byrd fired multiple shots into the fleeing vehicle in a suburban area. Stray bullets struck the side of homes nearby, and a subsequent investigation found that his use of force was not justified. His firearm privileges reportedly were revoked for a period as a disciplinary measure.

Ashli Babbitt was 35 years old and resided with her husband, Aaron, in San Diego, California. Together, they operated a successful pool business.

Ashli had traveled alone to Washington, D.C. from the west coast because she “loved her country and wanted to show her support for President Trump,” the suit states. “She was there to exercise what she believed were her God-given, American liberties and freedoms."

The wrongful death lawsuit, with depositions and discovery, could well open up the behind-the-scenes maneuvering to shield the full and factual story of the Ashli Babbitt shooting.

xxx

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-64569694019937773792024-03-02T17:11:00.139-06:002024-03-10T22:14:15.557-05:00GOV. CHRISTIE'S "BACK FLIP"

 BY BILL JUNEAU

Chris Christie, 61, is a former Republican governor from the hardwired Democratic state of New Jersey. He has the reputation as a GOP bull dog, but lately he has become more understanding of the Party of the Jackass with whom he shares strong opposition to the reelection of President Trump.

In 2016, while still the governor of that deep blue state which abuts New York where hating Donald Trump is a career, he was one of some 18 candidates who scrambled without success to become the GOP candidate for President. He was again on debate stage as a candidate for the upcoming November, 2024, presidential election---- but only briefly--- as the popularity of the former Republican president overshadowed his weak candidacy in polls and in primary elections.

Following his unimpressive appearances in a good many 2016 primary debates, and having become somewhat of a goat because of films showing him hugging Democratic President Obama, Christie dropped out of the race. He envisioned greener fields and announced with enthusiasm his support for Donald Trump who subsequently became the GOP nominee. Trump went on to win the election over Democrat Hillary Clinton, and was sworn into office in January of 2017.

With many achievements benefiting Americans of all races and colors and in maintaining a secure border with new programs and 450 miles of a steel wall, Trump completed his four year term in 2020, but lost in his bid for a second term to Joe Biden. The Biden win was controversial and President Trump contended that the election was dishonest and had been "stolen" by lying Democrats and a media which covered up evidence of improper procedures and corrupt Biden conduct.

In preparation for the 2024 election next November, Christie spent only a short time as an announced Republican candidate. Quickly, he saw the writings on the wall and withdrew from contention. But he did so with a "backflip" and an attack on President Trump whom he had supported without reservation four years earlier.

Announcing his withdrawal, he tore into the ex- President, accusing him of being a "lonely, self-consumed mirror hog" who poses a threat to the republic; and who was responsible for the January 6 "insurrection" and "that he should be impeached again."

In 2016, Christie had proclaimed that he was solidly in Trump's corner and following the election, he headed the Trump Transition Team in finding and recommending competent men and women with a conservative, Christian attitude to serve in the new president's administration.

In 2016 and 2017, Christie never held back in his praise of Donald Trump. Also, it was reported that he and his wife, Mary Pat had for 10 years or more been close friends with Trump and the Trump family. He will be an outstanding President, said Christi, who had governed New Jersey from 2010 to 2018, and prior to the governor's office, had served for eight years as a United States attorney for New Jersey, appointed by President Bush. So what made Christie change?

Christie, who nursed his visage as a GOP attack dog, wanted a spot in the Trump cabinet. Attorney General; Homeland Security Director; Chief of Staff, or even Secretary of State were acceptable offices in the Christie playbook for his future. In the end, however, Christie was never appointed to a cabinet position and his enmity for being ignored apparently grew and festered. Today, Christie is the harshest and loudest Republican critic of Donald Trump, his old friend.

In one of his money making new gigs, Chris Christie has become a political talking head, and has joined hands with the liberals at the ABC News desk. Nowadays, Christie is apparently still licking his wounds and getting even by talking up the negative aspects of former President Trump. He is swapping, chatting and sharing criticisms with Trump haters in interviews and at the televised round table. "He must never be president again," asserts Christie, as he muckrakes the former president. At one talk session, he opined that Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia, a Democrat, would make for a good president. In 2017, after President Trump sacked his FBI director, James Comey, for incompetence and for sneaky plans to make Trump look like a water carrier for Russian President Vladimir Putin, he picked Christopher Wray for the job, and the disingenuous Wray allowed the FBI to undermine President Trump. Wray had represented Christie in the so-called New Jersey "Bridgegate" scandal, and had kept him from culpable involvement and going to jail; and correspondingly, Christie became the key force to President Trump recommending Wray's appointment as FBI Director.

"If Trump becomes the GOP nominee for President in next November's Presidential election, it would amount to a "death sentence" for the GOP, said Christie. His brother- commentator at ABC, George Stephanopoulos, certainly agreed. In fact, after withdrawing as a 2024 candidate, the rotund Christie gave his first post-candidacy interview to Stephanopoulos, one of the media's most dedicated, liberal Democrats, who had earned his silver spurs as a defender and mouthpiece for Bill and Hillary Clinton.

You might wonder how Trump feels about having appointed Christopher Wray as director of the FBI in 2017, replacing James Comey who he fired. It was Christie who told him of the political smarts and loyal, down-the middle-legal prowess of Wray; and Trump bought it all and appointed him to head the world's most respected police agency, and the Senate gave its approval.

In office, Director Wray allowed his subordinates to attack Trump in a variety of ways. He allowed the concealment from the public of the Hunter Biden laptop computer which had been confiscated by FBI agents. Hunter's computer contained messages incriminating his father, former Vice President Joe Biden, now President Biden, for taking money from ill-gotten contracts with Red China and Ukraine. Hunter frequently referred in his emails to his father as the "big guy," and that money was being earmarked for him.

Wray has remained in good standing with the Biden administration, and is a malleable pawn for the lying Merrick Garland, Attorney General, but it is inconceivable that he would ever remain as the FBI director if Trump is reelected to a second term in the coming November.

Trump has been guarded in comments about his "old friend," Chris Christie, who continues to hang with liberals around ABC News, badmouthing President Trump at every opportunity. Trump has summed up his feelings for the pear-shaped Christie by describing him as "a bum."

 xxx

<ol style="background-color: white; color: #111111; display: flex; flex-direction: column; font-family: -apple-system, Roboto, SegoeUI, "Segoe UI", "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, "Microsoft YaHei", "Meiryo UI", Meiryo, "Arial Unicode MS", sans-serif; font-size: 16px; gap: 4px; margin: 12px 0px 0px; padding-inline-start: 24px;">

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-65429640184852589532024-02-21T17:51:00.041-06:002024-03-01T13:59:01.224-06:00THE BIDEN OF OUR TIMES

BY BILL JUNEAU

The aged and broken mind of President Joe Biden has been laid bare for all Americans to see. Consequently, he was given a pass from prosecution.

No question but that it is sad and depressing for trusting citizens to be informed by an unassailable source that their President, "Good Old Uncle Joe," is actually a moron.

Those that have watched him stumbling and bumbling on television in interviews; and have seen him fall on steps and wander aimlessly on a stage looking for an exit, are wondering why it took so long for a publicized assessment of his acuity, and how this mindless shell, who used Covid as an excuse to hide in the basement of his Delaware home instead of campaigning, was ever elected to the office of United States President.

Millions of Americans believe that the 2020 election was "stolen" with the help of the FBI and its director Christopher Wray, who concealed evidence of Biden's bribe taking and corrupt practices; and by virtue of an unmonitored mail-in ballot program; and the counting of tens of thousands of ballots for Biden when the paper ballots were blank except for a single mark for a candidate; and that candidate was Joe Biden.

Forty-five other men have served as President of the United States over the past 250 years, and now, for the first time, a card-carrying liar and a corrupt airhead was elected and given access to the Oval Office of the White House; and to the keys and buttons which could trigger nuclear aggression.

Joe Biden is 81 years old. For 36 years he was an elected U.S. Senator from Delaware and in 2008 he signed on as Barack Obama's Vice president. In 2021, he was sworn in as the nation's 46th President. His plan, he has said, is to run for a second term as President in November, 2024, against Republican Donald Trump, Biden's predecessor as President.

No one knows what Biden's IQ is, although he has boasted that it is high. Former classmates of his at Syracuse Law school where he finished close to last in his class, reportedly have described him as the "dumbest S.O.B in the school." Some say that he has never taken a standardized IQ test. President Trump has called Biden a "Whacko with a low IQ," and the notorious and disliked North Korean dictator, Kim Jong Un, has called Biden a "low IQ idiot."

Navy Admiral Ronny Jackson, now a Texas congressman, served as the White House doctor to Presidents Bush, Obama and Trump; and he was in a position to observe the goings and comings of Joe Biden in his conduct as a senator, and a vice president; and now as the nation's 46th President seeking reelection in 2024.

Said Rep. Jackson: "President Biden is totally incompetent and does not know what he is doing.....and is dangerous." Others, he has said, pull his strings from behind a curtain, and Biden uses crib notes and a teleprompter at press conferences. It has become obvious to many press conference observers that Democratic party-controlled newsmen do the bidding of their party and shield him from the tough questions.

After joining congress, in 2020, Dr. Jackson authored a letter to Biden requesting that he take a "cognitive" examination which would provide insight as to his acuity and ability to function as President. Biden has never answered the letter which was cosigned by more than a dozen congressmen. Newsmen have consistently declined to ask him about the letter.

After President Trump was elected in 2016, reporters demanded that he take a cognitive test. He complied, and made a prefect score.

Victor Davis Hanson is a military historian and a retired professor, widely known and highly respected on all sides of the political spectrum, who has been writing political commentary for many years for major publications. Those are the trademarks of Joe Biden, who in past years was at least alert when compared with his "current catalepsy."

Dr. Hanson noted that if Donald Trump can be at times ungrammatical, Biden is A-grammatical. This extraordinarily, suspicious story line involves Ms. E. Jean Carroll, a journalist and author, who sued the former President for rape and for defamation of character and won judgments totaling $88.3 million dollars.

The ex-President says it is all part of the continuing witch hunt against him. Many lawyers are predicting that the nonsense of the case and the lame partisan rulings from the bench will never withstand the scrutiny of an honest appellate court. So what's it all about?

Ms. E. Jean Carroll's main forte in life was dispensing advice to love-torn women via her column, "Ask E. Jean" in the "Elle" magazine. She provided her wisdom to unhappy and struggling women for some 26 years before retiring in 2020.

Somewhere around late 1995 or early 1996, Carroll isn't sure, she tells of bumping into real estate mogul Donald Trump inside the fashionable <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;">Bergdorf Goodman department store across the street from Trump Towers on Fifth avenue in Manhattan. She related her story in a written article and in her book, 'What do we need men for: A Modest Proposal" published in 2019; and later in testimony in a federal court in New York.

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> Carroll has said that they hit it off on a friendly note, and chatted over Trump's desire to find a nice gift for a lady friend. E.Jean, is now 80, but then was in her 50s. She has noted that she was a couple of years older than the "handsome," wealthy, and well known real estate pro. He asked her "advice" for an appropriate gift, and she agreed to help. They talked of possible gifts, and E Jean admits to being a bit flirty as they made small talk and discussed the airy possibility of Trump's purchase of a "lace bodysuit."

With laughs about who will try on a bodysuit, they made their way to the lingerie department and into a dressing room where customers try on clothes. Carroll has said that they ribbed each other about who would actually try on the bodysuit.

The next moment, Carroll said, Trump did an about face. Still wearing his business attire composed of a shirt, tie, and jacket, under an overcoat, she said, he opened the overcoat, unzipped his pants, pulled down her underclothing, and forced his fingers around her private area....and "thrusts his penis halfway or completely, I’m not certain — inside me." The whole episode lasts no more than three minutes...."

<span style="font-family: "Miller Text", Georgia, serif;"> She has written:<span style="font-family: "Miller Text", Georgia, serif;"> " I am wearing a pair of sturdy black patent-leather four-inch Barneys high heels, which puts my height around six-one, and I try to stomp his foot. I try to push him off with my one free hand — for some reason, I keep holding my purse with the other — and I finally get a knee up high enough to push him out and off and I turn, open the door, and run out of the dressing room onto fifth avenue." The busy store was practically empty at the time, she recalled.

She did not report the attack to police, and subsequently was told there were no cameras which could verify her story. Big stores in Manhattan generally have cameras all around but Carroll said she was told there were none there. Unlike President Clinton's situation in past years, Carroll had no "blue dress" which would confirm her story. She kept the attack secret for 22 years, but has said that she did share the story with two close friends. One told her to inform authorities of the attack, and the other advised her that making a police report would invite unnecessary problems. At her trial, her two friends testified and said, yes, they remember Carroll telling them of Trump's attack more than two decades ago.

Carroll's book actually revealed tales about a score of unsavory and unlikeable men she has known through the years. The President, she said, was not the only man who had gone after her sexually. In fact, E. Jean told of other men, who had sexually made a move on her. One. she identified as Leslie Moonves, former CEO of CBS Television. She announced in her writings that Moonves had accosted her "in an elevator," after she had interviewed him for a story and began kissing her and attempted to force his tongue into her mouth.

Moonves vehemently denied the allegation and the story of his attack ran out of steam in short order. The allegation and denial prompted speculation of a settlement by Moonves to make the story go away.

When Donald Trump learned of the story and the allegations against him, he was the nation's 45th President. From the White House, he exploded with loud public denials, and said he had never met the "Elle" columnist and that the story was fiction and that "E. Jean" was pursuing a big pay day. She is a "liar" and a "whack job," said Trump. It is just more of the same old political witch hunt; along with efforts to sell her book.

In the face of Trump's denunciations of Carroll who hid her "story" for almost a quarter of a century, Carroll reportedly consulted a well-known Trump-hating New York lawyer who recommended that she sue the President for the assault and for defamation for calling her a "liar and a whack job." It was a "smoking hot" story about the menacing Donald Trump and New York has the citizenry and judges and politicians eager to endorse that type of lawsuit.

The Donald Trump advance on an innocent woman, a former Miss Indiana university in the 1960s, was filed as a civil suit seeking monetary damages and it went to trial in Federal District court in spring of 2023. A New York jury heard Carroll's story of the attack, but the President declined to testify, and E. Jean was victorious. The jury assigned damages for defamation and sexual abuse at $5 million. <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;">

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> Yes, Trump had abused E. Jean sexually in that tiny room, the jury found, and never even took off his heavy overcoat or suit coat. Trump's alleged humping and pumping, and E. Jean's muffled cries in the busy. fifth avenue store never drew notice, asserts Carroll. The New York jury was chosen in a city where Trump detractors dominate in overwhelming numbers. Citizens in the Big Apple will never forget how the anointed Hillary Clinton, known to Trump as "Crooked Hillary," went down in defeat in the 2016 presidential election. It was a "get Trump" yarn which New Yorkers loved, and a new chance to put Trump down and get even on behalf of Democrats.

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> There has been a good deal of criticism of the jury's finding of defamation in light of Trump's right to speak out and criticize the plaintiff with First Amendment protection. Many aspects of E. Jean's allegations are questionable and are part of the President's pending appeal to a higher court. <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;">Following the jury verdict in the first civil litigation, the 80-year-old Carroll was a guest at CNN and she told how the President had raped her and then defamed her. <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;">In response, Trump again tore into E.Jean calling her a "liar" and and a "whack job" out to sell her book. In response to the President's upbraiding Carroll again, anti-Trump legal experts persuaded her to file a second complaint for defamation seeking actual and punitive damages.

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;">Trump then countersued E. Jean for defamation against him noting that she had lied on CNN claiming that she had been raped when the jury declined to make that finding. She had maliciously defamed him and knew she was lying, Trump charged.

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> The second case was tried before a New York jury and was presided over by Judge Lewis A. Kaplan who was appointed to federal bench in 1994 by President Clinton after recommendation by Democratic New York Senator Patrick Moynihan.

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> The jury, relying upon challenged rulings of the judge concerning defamation law, awarded plaintiff Carroll $16 million for actual damages to her reputation and $65 million in punitive damages. With the earlier judgment against him, Trump became indebted to Carroll for a total of $88.3 million. Trump's countersuit for defamation was thrown out by Judge Kaplan who declared it to be a tactic for delay, according to news reports. <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> T<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;">rump is appealing both jury decisions to higher courts and is confident that the judgments will be overruled.

Trump and his lawyers maintain that the President has a right of free speech in accord with the First Amendment. Words alone and name calling do not constitute defamation, and plaintiff Carroll never suffered any loss of income or humiliations as a result of calling her a "liar" looking for money. Her "actual" damages as a result of the so-called defamation, are nothing, according to attorneys for Trump.

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif; font-size: large;"> The findings that Trump assaulted Carroll who he had never known, are not based upon provable evidence. The punitive award is grossly excessive and is a political judgment designed to weaken him and prevent him from running for another term of President in 2024.

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> <span face="-apple-system, Roboto, SegoeUI, "Segoe UI", "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, "Microsoft YaHei", "Meiryo UI", Meiryo, "Arial Unicode MS", sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #111111;"> <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif;"> <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif; font-size: x-large;"> <span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: GuardianTextEgyptian, "Guardian Text Egyptian Web", Georgia, serif; font-size: xx-large;">xxx
Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-17888555140718949742024-01-09T11:11:00.015-06:002024-02-06T17:18:04.383-06:00THE GAY BALLOON THAT EXPLODED

BY BILL JUNEAU

Claudine Gay, 53, dived into the Harvard presidency last July 1, and received praise for her intellectual superiority, and for her dedication in advancing DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) in the halls of academia. But she sank like a rock in water just six months later, after being exposed as a woke-minded proponent who believes that it is permissible for students on campus to call for the "genocide" of Jews; and as a plagiarist whose "scholarly" writings contained the unattributed rhetoric of others.

She created a Harvard raging controversy on the following Dec. 6 when she delivered anti-Semitic comments before a committee of the U.S. House of Representatives. In response to a question, Gay indicated that schools should not restrict students participating in demonstrations on campus from calling for the killing of Jews. Her words drew a firestorm of complaints about her all-around leadership as president of the nation's most prestigious university. Most Americans, it appeared, do not share with Gay her woke-minded opinion that free reins should be given to universities, consistent with the First Amendment, to encourage the elimination of an entire race.

Gay's outrageous comments caused critics to question her background and ability to serve as president of the nation's foremost university. Her remarks touched off an inspection of her writings and her PhD thesis which revealed some 20 to 50 instances in which Gay had apparently plagiarized the writings of others and, without attribution, had in some cases used word-for- word rhetoric as her own.

Her anti-Semitic comments and her plagiarism caused a national drumbeat of criticism, which led to her resignation on Jan. 2, some four weeks after her congressional appearance, and about six months into her presidency.

Yet in Dr. Gay's mind, it is neither her willingness to let her students advocate in favor of wiping out Jews, nor her cheating on her thesis and other scholarly writings, that caused the loss of her exalted job. No, in her letter of resignation, Dr. Gay blamed "racial animus," for her quitting. Several days later, she sent a letter to the NYT saying that she was a victim of a "well laid trap."

In her letter of resignation, Gay said that she was stepping down from the presidency with a "heavy heart" and in the best interests of Harvard..... "It has been distressing, she wrote, "to have doubt cast on my commitments to confronting hate and to upholding scholarly rigor- two bedrock values that are fundamental to who I am; and frightening to be subjected to personal attacks and threats fueled by racial animus."

Her identity as an African American, the key factor which led to her appointment as Harvard's first black woman president, was not powerful enough to help her keep the job.

Behind the curtain, it has been widely reported, former U.S. President Barack Obama, a Harvard alum, had importuned everyone he could find to help save the lofty position for this remarkable woman of color. But he was unsuccessful in turning around the massive criticism which flowed from her asinine and immoral comments, which she had delivered publicly.

The Rev Al Sharpton, a civil rights activist who seldom misses an opportunity to charge "racism," expressed outrage at Gay's resignation. In a statement, he said that her quitting as president is an "attack on every black woman in this country who has put a crack in the glass ceiling." Also, he accused some Gay critics of having a "racial animus and a repugnant racist vitriol" against her.

Liberal DEI enthusiasts were probably hoping to hear from President Biden who is a vocal supporter of identity politics and the woke philosophy. But the fumbling Biden has remained quiet. It was not surprising, though since Biden, himself, was a well-documented plagiarist while attending Syracuse Law school, and then as a U.S. Senator from Delaware. Those shameful credentials, no doubt, got in the way of his going to bat for Gay. Dr. Gay was the first black female president out of the 30 presidents who have held office at the 388 year-old Harvard. Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, now "X," has posted that DEI is "just another term for 'racism' and-- shame on anyone using it. Bill Ackman, a billionaire Harvard donor and a hard line critic of Gay, is on the same page as Musk. He wrote on Twitter that he believed that DEI efforts were "racist and dangerous" with the racism in this case against whites. He also said that DEI was a "powerful movement" that has not only pervaded Harvard, but the educational system at large and needs to be opposed. In response to Gay's assertion that she was a victim of a "well laid trap," Elise Stefanik, a New York congresswoman, said that Gay's exit from Harvard was not a "well laid trap," but rather was Gay's "own cataclysmic failure." It was Stefanik who had questioned Gay at the congressional hearing which had been scheduled as a means of exploring the reasons for anti Semitic rhetoric by students on American campuses.

When Gay testified before Congress, she was one of three university presidents who appeared as witnesses. Using a rifle and two handguns and firing off some 126 bullets, Hale shot and killed three nine-year-old children, a boy and two girls, and three adult supervisors, including the head teacher, a substitute teacher, and the school custodian. Responding Nashville police officers shot and killed Hale as she held to her guns.

Reportedly, Hale, who at one time was a pupil in the Christian school, had put together extensive plans for how she would take down occupants. Her journals, diaries and plans have all been confiscated from her home and from inside her automobile. All of her papers are in the hands of police authorities in Nashville, who are declining to make them public, in deference to woke and progressive requests.

The Covenant campus, founded in 2001, is in an affluent part of Nashville known as Green Hills and is the educational home to some 200 pupils in preschool to sixth grade. Students have bible classes and attend chapel services daily.

The LGBTQ organizations have raised their voices with objections to the release of Hale's writings, noting that life for a transgender person is very difficult and has been made even tougher because of the "virtual avalanche" of anti-trans legislation. Certainly, said the Trans Resistance Network (TRN) in a statement, Hale's confrontation of the anti-trans sentiment must be factored into the fatal shootings at the Christian school.

The families of murdered victims are siding with holding back the manifesto from public scrutiny. Their belief, it is reported, is that release to the public would could cause more traumatic problems and perhaps encourage action by "copy cats."

Steven Crowder, a conservative talk show host, revealed on-line photo films of the documents in question, and supplied comments contained therein of Hale's personal observations and opinions. Crowder, who promotes his conservative show as "Louder with Crowder," stands by his reporting noting that citizens have an absolute right to know about the thinking of a transitioning woman who wants to be a man, and is filled with hate for Christians and for the elementary school where she attended the 3d and 4th grades.

The leaked information to Crowder also told of Hale's desire to "kill all you little f.....rs and crackers with white privilege," and to have "a high death count." She wrote that she was a transgendered man, and her name was now "Aiden."

<span style="font-family: "Open Sans";"> Another page pointed to by Crowder included an hour-by-hour calendar referred to by Hale as "Death Day." That disclosure included comments like "get dressed" and "eat breakfast;" and "prepare for attack" and "time 2 die." Hale added that "I'm a little nervous, but excited too. Been excited for the past 2 weeks,.....Can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm ready... I hope my victims aren't."

Last November seven Nashville policemen were placed on the administrative duty roster and the transfer gave the impression that one or more of the officers may have had their fingers in providing the sensitive information to Crowder. None of the officers have been identified.

Conservative TV anchors and Republican politicians are continuing to request that the full story of Hale's assault and murder of six persons be revealed in its entirety. The jury decision of guilty on all counts was not a reasonable conclusion based on facts and testimony under oath during the officer's trial in April of 2021.

With his attorneys who prepared a lengthy written brief, Chauvin had importuned the nine justices of the nation's highest court and the final arbiter of disputes, to examine his appeal with clean glasses, outside the noise of a twisted world calling him a cruel "racist" cop, and to reverse the jury findings and order up a new trial which would be administered fairly. As is often said by lawyers, and constitutional experts, a new trial would be the "right thing to do."

Lasting five weeks in the spring of 2021, in the prominent Twin City of Minneapolis, Minnesota, the trial was held in a courthouse converted into a war-like fortress rimmed with coiled wire. The 12-person jury was tainted and infected by one member who lied and concealed his anti-police sentiment during voir dire questioning by the judge and attorneys. Also, there was significant evidence that the jurors feared for their safety unless the defendant cop was convicted. Judicial errors were countless. Jurors were unsequestered and requests for a mistrial and change of venue were repeatedly denied by Trial Judge Peter Cahill.

The high court has declined a review of the Chauvin conviction and of the "enhanced" sentence handed him by Judge Cahill, thereby allowing the decision of the jury and the lower level Minnesota Court of Appeals to stand. Was the U.S. Supreme Court too concerned that changing the Floyd decision or ordering a new trial for the police officer would ignite a bitter, new explosion of racial violence in Minneapolis and other major cities? Was it the smarter path by the erudite justices to just not get involved?

Several months ago, SCOTUS reversed the 50-year-old Roe v. Wade decision, ruling that abortion was not a constitutional question and that abortion availability, therefore, was to be decided by individual states. The court showed independence, moral courage and respect for the rule of law in dealing with this emotional issue. Was the high court's extraordinary bravery in reversing the Roe decision only justice for the moment?

Officer Chauvin, an 18-year veteran policeman, was found guilty of second degree unintended murder and manslaughter by the tainted jury which deliberated for 10 hours. The recommended sentencing guidelines in Minnesota for the named offenses is 12.5 years in jail. Judge Cahill sentenced the defendant to 22.5 years in a penitentiary explaining that he was "enhancing" the punishment by tacking on another decade of prison time because the defendant police officer had been unnecessarily "cruel," and that his conduct had been witnessed by young and impressionable children.

George Floyd, 46, an African American with a long rap sheet, died May 25, 2020 after Minneapolis Officer Chauvin arrested him, and was detaining him while awaiting a police transport vehicle. Police involvement came after a local merchant in Minneapolis telephoned police for help, accusing Floyd, of passing a counterfeit $20 bill as payment for cigarettes.

Tragically and unpredictably, the muscular, six-foot, six-inch Floyd succumbed as Chauvin held him to the ground with a knee on his neck, a common police procedure used by officers in controlling uncooperative suspects. The technique is taught officers in the Minneapolis police academy; and Officer Chauvin used the technique as he had been instructed to do.

At the trial, physicians argued as to the cause of death. Factually and without dispute, pathologists testified that Floyd's body was loaded with fentanyl and other drugs; and he was actually gulping pills and complaining that he was having trouble breathing when first seen by policemen. Also, there was testimony from doctors that his main arteries were almost completely blocked so that he was in effect a "dead man walking." One physician testified that Floyd had so much fentanyl in his system that his death would qualify as a drug overdose. Fentanyl drug deaths claim thousands of lives in America each year.

Chauvin's lawyers were also petitioning the high court to consider in its final appeal a determination from respected pathologist William Schaetzel of Topeka, Kan., that Floyd died of a rare tumor in his body, a "paraganglioma." Dr. Schaetzel s recent investigation into the cause of Floyd's death directly challenges the conclusion that Floyd's demise was from asphyxia caused by the police officer's use of a "knee to his neck."

Derek Chauvin, 47, had been a uniformed policeman in Minneapolis for nearly two decades. He was the recipient of four medals and commendations for valor and bravery. He had never been disciplined for using excessive force in making an arrest.

The Chauvin trial began in an atmosphere of headlines, and riots and protest demonstrations on allegations that Chauvin was a racist cop, who typified policemen throughout the country. Despite the near anarchy in some locations, Judge Cahill declined to sequester jurors despite repeated motions that he do so.

The dishonest juror selected was an African American high school coach. He was approved after informing the court that he had no preconceived notions of the policeman's guilt; and that he would act solely on the basis of the evidence presented. Concealed was the fact that he had attended a rally in which he wore a hat saluting the BLM organization, and a Tee-shirt with the inscription , "Get your knee off of my neck." At the close of the trial, Judge Cahill declined to grant a mistrial on the basis of the juror's prevarication and his obvious pro Floyd bias.

As the five week trial was moving forward, the city of Minneapolis announced that it was awarding $27 million to the family of George Floyd as settlement of a suit alleging police brutality. It appears likely, Chauvin lawyers argue, that the unsequestered jurors became informed of the award, and that it had an effect on them.

Maxine Waters of California, an African American Congresswoman, told a protest rally that if the policeman is not convicted, there will be retaliation and "we will get confrontational." Chauvin contended in his arguments that it was likely that the unsequestered jurors learned of her threats and were fearful for their personal safety. Waters' publicized threat prompted Trial Judge Cahill to predict that her comments might well be grounds for a mistrial in an appeal, though he himself declined to order a mistrial when asked to do so.

With the trial underway, President Biden weighed in and asserted that evidence in the case was "overwhelming," and he "was praying that the jurors would reach the right decision." His message to jurors was clear, and after the guilty finding was returned, the President commented that its decision was a "step forward in the fight against systemic police racism."

Around the Thanksgiving holiday, Chauvin was attacked and stabbed 22 times in his neck and back by an African American inmate bent on avenging the death of George Floyd. The attack occurred in a federal prison in Tucson, Ariz where Chauvin is serving his time. Chauvin was seriously wounded from the knifing, but according to reports, will recover, and jail authorities are promising that they will increase security on behalf of the former policeman.

The decision by SCOTUS to trash the Chauvin appeal and look the other way, without comment, has all the appearances of being a political decision rather than a legal one. The court should reconsider and examine the appeal in the interest of justice and in accord with the high court's stated and trusted mission to provide equal justice for every American.

xxx

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-42979299638126866922023-11-22T15:30:00.017-06:002023-11-23T09:04:13.888-06:00THE TWO FACES OF RUDY GIULIANI

 BY BILL JUNEAU

In today's fast-moving world, there are two Rudy Giulianis: the crime busting hero and ex-mayor of New York city; and the despised and disparaged defender of former President Donald Trump.

In the 1980s, 90s and into the 21st century, Giuliani was nationally and internationally celebrated as the "Toast of New York." His name was magic and huge crowds gathered wherever and whenever he spoke, and citizens reacted with emotion at the man who had made New York into the safest big city in the country; and whose presence promised that New York would emerge from the Muslim attack on the twin towers with greater strength than ever; and that the ugly terrorists who caused the deaths of 2,500 Americans would be brought to justice and pay the price.

In 2001, the liberal "Time" Magazine named Giuliani as its "Person of the Year," saluting him as the 107th mayor of New York and the "greatest mayor" to have ever held that office. Magazine editors lauded Republican Giuliani as "America's mayor," and even referenced him as the "Mayor to the World."

He was made an honorary Knight of England by Queen Elizabeth II, and the Italian government presented him with an award for his fight against the mafia, which was being dominated by Italians. He was nominated for receipt of the Nobel Peace Prize, and millions clamored for him to run for U.S President in 2000 and again in 2008, but he declined to do so, and provided his support to George W. Bush in 2000 and Sen. John McCain in 2008.

Awards and commendations were frequent as he was congratulated with a special medal from the American Bar Association and with a commendation from the Ronald Reagan Freedom association. The Gov. Thomas E. Dewey association was always pleased when he would speak at its luncheons. The George C. Marshall Foundation singled out Giuliani for an award, as did the Christopher Leadership organization. Films, books and articles were written with stories of his courage and resolve and how he put crooks, thieves and con artists behind bars.

Some even compared Rudy Giuliani to brave Horatius of the poem "Horatius at the Bridge." In that classic poetic ballad, the story was told of how Horatius stood at the mouth of the bridge over the Tiber river and slew the criminal Etruscans who sought to invade the Roman empire.

In and around 2015, the admired and respected Giuliani became an adviser to candidate for President, Donald Trump, and in 2018, he signed on as the president's "personal lawyer." That was around the time that the lies and fabricated reports began appearing, all designed with the assistance of the Democrat controlled media, to torpedo the nation's 45th President and to take down with him his fighting personal lawyer.

It was Giuliani, now 79, who spearheaded the defense of President Trump who was being accused of "colluding" with Russian President Putin. After a long investigation ordered by Congress, at a cost of some $33 million, Trump was cleared of all seditious charges, and FBI leaders who commissioned the probe subsequently acknowledged publicly that the investigation was a "hoax" designed to bring Trump down--and his attorney with him.

Trump, with Giuliani at his side, came upon evidence that Vice President Joe Biden had taken bribes from Ukraine bosses, and also had provided a job as a board member of a gas company for his son, Hunter, a cocaine addict who had been kicked out of the navy because of his uncontrolled drug use.

For sitting as a member of the board of Burisma Holdings, Inc., Hunter was paid $83,000 per month, and there was evidence that he was periodically kicking back thousands of dollars to his dad, the Vice President under President Obama. The story of Biden family corruption was outlined by Hunter in emails found on his lost lap top computer. Hunter spoke of money for the "Big Guy" or "Pop," affectionate names which Hunter had for his dad who was arranging for him contracts with China, Russia and the Ukraine and for all of his financial needs.

In a telephone conversation, Trump asked the new Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to investigate the corrupt practices of Joe and Hunter Biden in Ukraine. To punish Trump for calling for an investigation into Biden family corruption, a partisan Congress impeached President Trump and castigated Giuliani as a collaborator. Subsequently, the Senate heard evidence and declared President Trump "not guilty" of all charges. The impeachment was another hoax created and designed to bring down the nation's 45th President.

Following the election in 2020 in which Joe Biden won and narrowly captured electoral college votes from six battleground states, Giuliani saw evidence and asserted his belief as an attorney that the election had been "stolen" from the incumbent President seeking reelection to a second term.

Voting laws were ignored; and non citizens were alleged to have cast votes which were counted in Biden's favor, said Giuliani. It is believed that hundreds of thousands of votes were counted for Biden even though the ballots contained only a single mark, and that was for Biden.

Recounts never included an actual examination of ballots which would have revealed more basis for the allegation that the election was "stolen.". Democrats accused Trump and his lawyer, Giuliani, of pushing a "big lie," and the tethered media became the mouth piece of lying democrats.

President Trump has been indicted in four different jurisdictions on some 91 counts for alleged misdeeds. The ex-President is said to have retained in his home confidential documents, even though as President he had declassified them. Also, Trump has been accused of giving hush money to a woman some 20 years ago, and of taking steps to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the state of Georgia. In each case, Atty. Giuliani has been accused of misstating facts in his defense of the President and of misconstruing evidence concerning the rigging of the election in that state.

In April of 2021, federal lawyers and FBI agents raided the Manhattan home of Attorney Giuliani and seized computers, telephones and records, all of which were considered to be a violation of the Attorney-Client privilege.

Most Giuliani supporters recognize that the midnight raid was intended to humiliate the former mayor rather then to serve any legal purpose. Subsequently, Giuliani was suspended from the practice of law in New York, on grounds that he made false statements while attempting to persuade courts to overturn the 2020 election which put the dim and corrupt Biden in the White House.

Referencing Joe Biden, Trump has described him in interviews as "stone corrupt" and a compulsive "liar" for all of his many years in government. Said Giuliani: "I know it; I have seen his corruption; I have papers demonstrating his corrupt practices, and I can prove it and will prove it when the opportunity presents itself."

Trump and Giuliani have predicted that right will win over wrong, and that the corruption of President Biden will become apparent to honest and patriotic Americans. Currently, the House of Representatives is considering the impeachment of President Biden for accepting bribes, and millions of Americans are eager for that to happen.

Giuliani has said the indictments against him and President Trump are “an affront to American Democracy” and have caused permanent, and irrevocable harm to our justice system." It is “just the next chapter in a book of lies with the purpose of framing President Donald Trump and preventing him from being a candidate for the office of President in the 2024 election.

Said Giuliani: "This is a completely unjustified and disgusting act of retribution, because I had the temerity to unveil the biggest scandal in American history."

XXX

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-87339954504836867242023-10-17T21:37:00.656-05:002023-10-26T09:23:38.574-05:00THE WALL THAT HAD TO BE
s

 BY BILL JUNEAU

Back in 2016 when there were 18 GOP candidates vying to become America's next President to succeed Barack Obama, one of them was the billionaire, mouthy, real estate mogul from New York, Donald J. Trump. His presence as a contender drew criticism and fire and the media wanted to know, "who did he think he was--- running for President.....he never held an office and he lacked the political skills which the high office demanded."

Outlining his credentials for the Presidency, Trump said: I will build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border --and immigrants and visitors will be welcome---but they "must come in legally."

The wall, he said, while responding to jeers from other Republican candidates during debates and from a host of Trump haters, would be tall and steel-strong and would keep out dangerous thugs and assorted miscreants coming to America by way of the border with Mexico with pockets filled with fentanyl and other illegal drugs. No one is vetted and as a result, young and old Americans are dying from overdoses.

And, he added, that he would see to it that Mexico paid for the structure, since it was Mexico with its coyotes and cartels which were promoting the problem and the discord which has made the barrier essential and which has been causing chaos in the USA.

The wall became an all around controversial issue with millions applauding Trump for a good thing, and others claiming it was raw racism because of hate for Muslims and African Americans.

Pope Francis injected himself into the fray and said that Trump "is not Christian" if he pledges to build a border wall between the USA and Mexico. A Trump spokesman reminded the pontiff that the Vatican is surrounded by massive walls, and America and its citizens are, like his eminence, entitled to be safe in their home from criminals. Nancy Pelosi said that the wall was "immoral," but conservative Christians and Catholics called her a hypocrite, noting her strong support for abortions at "any time" and for "any reason."

It was a surprise to the nation--and perhaps to the world---when Trump was elected the nation's 45th President in 2016, defeating Democrat Hillary Clinton who was to be the nation's first woman President. Trump called her "Crooked Hillary" and said her election would be a big mistake given her corrupt ways. He took office in January, 2017 and thereon put forth an "America First" agenda, and a Trump way of governing. And he never forgot his promise to build a "great and beautiful wall," and his search for the funds began immediately.

President Trump was beset from many areas with allegations that he was in the pocket of Russian President Putin, but subsequently he was cleared and the charges were found to be untrue and based upon political lies fostered by Democratic opposition.

But through it all he fought for construction of the wall and for the necessary funds to get the job done, and prior to his leaving office in January, 2021, some 458 miles of the needed structure were completed. Some of the wall was brand new and in other places the wall represented a redo and upgrade of ineffective border fences and barriers which had been constructed and installed in past years.

Did Mexico pay for the wall? Under Trump orders, new and heavy tariffs were paid to the USA by Mexico, and Trump has said that the additional revenues were deposited in the treasury; and the additional money found its way to the wall through appropriations. Also, said Trump, through his insistence, Mexico assigned and paid a battery of national officers along the border to discourage illegal entries into the United States.

At the end of his four year term as President, the "Trump" wall with its 18 to 30-foot steel bollards anchored in concrete in many sections, was completed save a far south 20-mile section of border in the Rio Grande valley of Texas.

On January 20, of 2021 Trump turned the Presidency over to Joe Biden, and he presented him a country with a nearly finished wall and with immigration under control and with policies which encouraged immigrants to come to America in accord with existing law. Immigration was still a problem, but was controlled and it was anticipated that Congress would consider new immigration reform.

On his first day in office as the nation's 46th President, Joe Biden declared that wall building was over and that "not one more foot of a wall" would be built under his administration. "Is a wall helpful in controlling lawless border crossings," he was asked. "No," said the slow moving American president whose mental acuity has been challenged with demands from many members of Congress that he take a cognitive exam to determine if he has the wits to serve as President. Biden has ignored the requests.

Biden announced that America was the land of the free and he messaged to the world that immigrants were welcome, because "that is who we are." "Com'on in" he shouted and the world heard him and they poured on in----by the millions. They waded across the Rio Grande and slipped in from behind bushes. They were ushered to the borders by Mexican cartels and coyotes charging money. Besides Mexico, they came from scores of different countries including Iran and other parts of the Middle East; Europe and Taliban-run Afghanistan; and from various other areas in Asia and Africa.

No one knows for sure just how many illegal aliens have poured into the United States over the past 34 months under the feckless leadership of Joe Biden. The number, depending upon who you listen to, seems to be somewhere between 2,000,000 and 6,000,000 illegal entries. The numbers are staggering, greater than at any time in U.S. history.

Some have commented, that the new residents could fill up a bunch of new states. They noted that in Delaware, President Biden's home state, there are about 1,000,000 residents. Wyoming has a population of 579,000 and Vermont has 645,000 residents. North and South Dakota, together, are home to about 1.6 million persons. Alaska has 732,673 residents.

In the past six months, it has been reported, hundreds of thousands have used the unfinished 20 miles of border in the Texas Rio Grande valley to come into the United States. Virtually none have been interviewed or vetted, and apparently they have gone to destinations in large urban cities like New York and Chicago.

One analyst has speculated that if the trend continues unchanged through 2024, a total of 12 million immigrants will have entered America illegally and the cost of their care and sheltering will approach $12 trillion dollars.

In early October of 2023, President Biden finally reacted to the humanitarian crisis at the southern border and declared that he would direct that the final 20-mile segment of the Trump wall be finished in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. It was a full U-turn on his declaration that "not another foot of Trump wall" would be built under his administration.

His explanation was that he had no other choice since millions of dollars had been appropriated in 2019 for the wall and that his hands are tied. ""I tried to get them to re-appropriate it and to redirect that money. They didn't. They wouldn't. And in the meantime, there's nothing under the law, that allows for use of the money for something other than that for which it was appropriated, and that was the wall." So, says the whispering and embarrassed Biden----the "Trump wall" will be completed after all."

Then in his announcement a few days ago, according to news reports, Biden said that he has sent an urgent funding request to Congress for some $14 billions for use managing the US-Mexico border and for coping with the millions of illegal migrants. The border money would be a part of a new $106 billion dollar budget request for funds for Ukraine and Israel, and to Gaza for humanitarian aid.

So perhaps Biden is learning that open borders and telling the world to "com'on in" was not such a a good political move --and that he is going to have to do something to hold back the surge of migrants into New York, Chicago and other major urban cities; or he can wave good by to blue state supporters.

xxx

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-43260984544878063082023-09-29T17:10:00.040-05:002023-10-19T11:44:58.298-05:00 "FETTERMAN RULES" ARE NOT TO BE

 BY BILL JUNEAU

The towering senator from Pennsylvania, John Fetterman, is going to have to abandon his hooded sweatshirt, golf shorties and sneakers if he intends to participate in legislative rhetoric on the senate floor in the capitol building in Washington, D.C. But he says he will do it to "save democracy."

The order for a formal dress code for the 100 members of the U.S. Senate, the upper house of Congress, was put into place a few days ago by Majority leader Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat. It wiped out Schumer's "Fetterman Dress Code" of 10 days earlier in which he okayed a "come as you are" code of attire, which was grounded on the desire to accommodate the troubled Fetterman and allow him to wear his hoodies and short pants to sessions on the floor and at committee hearings.

The Fetterman-sweet dress code was done to assist the recovering big guy, who at six-feet, eight inches tall is the giant of the Senate. He has been troubled with cognitive issues and speaking problems due to a stroke last year followed in 2023 with severe depression.

Schumer's rewriting of a dress code so as to allow Fetterman, who some say is a ringer for "Lurch" who became famous in TV's The Addams Family, to wear his hoodies and lounging clothes, and flip-flops if preferred, triggered complaints from other senators. To demonstrate his annoyance with the new "Fetterman Rules," Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky showed up barefoot and wearing a red bathrobe for a session on the floor of the senate.

Sen. Joe Manchin, Democrat of West Virginia who often challenges the laws set down by Majority leader Schumer and the Party of the Jackass, let it be known that he planned to introduce a resolution calling for a dress code of suit and tie for men and appropriate attire for the woman members of the senate which is regarded by many as the most elite and exclusive club in the USA.

Faced with the dissent, Schumer rolled back his redo order and put forth a formal dress code in writing which will mandate suit and ties, sports coats and slacks for men, and appropriate business-like attire for the distaff members.

Caught in the halls of the capitol still wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt, Fetterman told a reporter, "don't you think that we have many more important issues to deal with than a dress code"? What is important is what is going on inside a person, not what he is wearing, the somewhat peeved Fetterman told a newsman. But yes, he said he would wear a suit so as "to save democracy--but there are conditions."

<span face="Roboto, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif" style="font-size: 18px;"> Another newsman reported that Fetterman said that Republicans must pass a government funding bill and support Ukraine in order for him to suit up.

"If those jagoffs in the House (meaning Republicans) stop trying to shut our government down," he asserted, "and fully support Ukraine, then I will save democracy by wearing a suit on the Senate floor...."

A mayor for 16 years at Braddock, Pennsylvania, a community with 1,721 residents; and Lt. Governor of the state for three years, Fetterman was elected in 2022 as a Democratic senator and was sworn into office on Jan. 3, 2023. The election was close and controversial with arguments and comments concerning Fetterman's acuity, and his ability to speak sensibly or respond to questions asked him. Fetterman's style is similar in many respects to the stammering, gaffe-filled rhetoric of President Biden who campaigned hard for Fetterman's election.

Fetterman was elected last November with 51 per cent of the votes cast, defeating TV's medical doctor, Mehmet Oz, a Republican, who had gained popularity as a frequent guest and weight adviser to pudgy Oprah Winfrey on her TV show.

Shortly after Fetterman won the Democratic primary for Pennsylvania senator in May of 2022, he suffered a debilitating stroke, but opted to remain as a candidate. His supporters and Democratic leaders downplayed the seriousness of the malady, and kept him out of the spotlight as much as possible. Fetterman's wife, Gisele, described the stroke as just a "a little hiccup," and predicted that he would regain his strength; and in November he won the general election.

So, as of now, Fetterman promises to be neat and suited and that he will vote the Democratic menu; and his rhetoric and legislative activity is said to be improving. The chamber’s Sergeant at Arms office has installed a permanent live-captioning display at Fetterman’s desk that can be raised or lowered, depending on whether the towering pol is standing or sitting.

The senator has said that he endorses abortion as a woman's right to choose right up to those seconds before the baby draws its first breath. Also, he supports a $15 per hour minimum wage. At Willis' direction, Trump's team efforts challenging the honesty of the balloting, were alleged to constitute a "criminal enterprise" punishable under the state's RICO statutes which were enacted to bring down racketeering and corrupt organizations.

Subsequently, the ex-President, and his co-defendants were arrested and processed as criminals and their mug shots were distributed to the media and elsewhere as Willis demonstrated her strength and her value to Washington Democrats on the top political rung.

Willis has made it her mission to bring down the popular Republican ex-President, and to make him squirm and scream "Uncle" under her growling attack. But it appears that Willis may be squirming too as she copes with congressional discovery demands for documents linked to her alleged misuse of federal funds given to the state and county.

The ill-tempered Willis, who appears to want the approbation of the Department of Justice and the owly and disingenuous Attorney General, Merrick Garland, through whom all intended poison for Donald Trump flows, may have crossed lines and improperly made use of federal dollars in her take-down political scheme. The misuse of federal funds by Willis allows the United States House of Representatives to exercise oversight and to force Willis to reveal all details of her "investigation" and political collaborations.

Following her unconscionable actions against Trump and other defendants, Rep. Is State's Attorney Willis herself engaged in a conspiracy with Attorney General Garland and Special Prosecutor Jack Smith, who President Trump describes as "deranged"; and New York's unethical District Attorney Alvin Bragg to take down Donald Trump by accusing him of crimes which he did not commit and to block him from seeking reelection to that office in 2024?

Currently, Trump is leading in all polls as the GOP preferred standard bearer in next year's presidential election. Is Willis responding to directions from the "Party of the Jackass," as the Democratic Party is known historically, said Congressman Jordan. .

It may not be a RICO conspiracy into which Willis has waded, but it is, no less, a conspiracy. It makes use of political needs, and a common mandate to accuse Donald Trump of fabricated misdeeds, and to force him to stand trial in four different venues to answer assorted state and federal charges and effectively disable him from campaigning and running for the office of President in 2024.

It is the Democratic mission, Jordan has said, to keep their party in power, and to reinstall the corrupt, manipulable and senile octogenarian, Joe Biden, again in the oval office where he will read scripts written for him and do and say as he is told. .

The Georgia case has landed on the docket of 34-year-old Judge Scott McAfee who was appointed as a Fulton county Superior court judge last February. Her dad drove a taxi and her mother styled hair in a New York beauty salon. They wanted their daughter, Karine Jean- Pierre to be a doctor, but Jean-Pierre lacked the brain power to be a physician and correspondingly failed the medical entrance exam. So Jean-Pierre opted for journalism and public service.

At college, she earned a bachelor's degree from New York Institute of Technology, and in 2003, a master's degree in public affairs from Columbia University.

"KJ," as she is frequently called by newspersons, is diminutive in height, and her hair is whirly, curly and moppy and of various colors including red, yellow and black. Always well coiffed, her sparkly, metallic eyelids shine in the overhead lights of the Brady Press office in the White House. At 49, she is the first African -American woman to serve as Press Secretary to a President. Also, she is a proud lesbian, and for 11 years and until very recently, had been in a relationship with former CNN reporter, Suzanne Malveaux, 56.

As partners, "KJ" and Sue had adopted a daughter, Soleil. The story of their split was revealed in a recent article in Vogue magazine.

Jean-Pierre has embraced all tenets and pronouns set forth by the LGBTQ-plus community, and her beliefs are consistent with those of her boss, Joe Biden, the nation's 46th President. Biden has said that he regards the Woke and Pride-Lifestyle and the men and women involved as the "most courageous and brave persons" that he, at 80 years old, has ever met.

First lady Dr. Jill has praised Jean-Pierre for her "grace, integrity and insight" as the "pioneering " first gay and non-white press secretary.

Biden told of his high regard for the pride lifestyle following a recent LGBTQ picnic-like party on the lush Green White House lawn. Bare chested trans-men and trans-women danced to music and the President and First Lady Jill watched and applauded the "courageous" participants.

<span style="background-color: white; color: #222526; font-family: "The Sun";"> About 15 months ago, KJ was appointed Biden's press secretary, and she replaced Jen Psaki who had served in the position for some 16 months of the President's scheduled four year term in office. KJ had been a deputy to Psaki in the communications department, and prior to that, was an adviser to Vice Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris. Before the Biden-Harris days, Jean-Pierre was the senior advisor and national spokeswoman for the progressive advocacy group, Move On.org.

There is a significant difference in her style alongside Psaki's. Psaki was considered brighter, quicker on her feet, and more able to handle tough inquiries while defending and speaking with a positive spin about the clumsy and slow thinking 46th President of the United States.

Jean-Pierre comes off to viewers of her press briefings as intellectually slow, much like her boss. Some reporters and other observers consider her to be obtuse. With the President as her role model, she distorts the truth whenever she feels the need. But like her predecessor in the $180,000 a year position, she is determined to protect the stumbling and gaffe-ridden President against any and all criticism.

In response to some queries, Jean-Pierre seems to be reading prepared answers from her three-holed binder in much the same way as President Biden reaches for his crib notes to deliver appropriate answers. At press briefings, she has been accused of calling, all too often, on reporters known to praise Biden and to exclude aggressive newspersons who see the President as inept and corrupt. One newsman, Simon Ateba of Today News Africa, has formally accused the Press Secretary of discrimination and of trying to silence him.

After it became known that Biden had confidential documents lying about his oily garage, on the floor and alongside his cherished 1967 convertible, Jeanne Pierre declined comments on reporters' questions about the how and why of the red-stamped, protected documents for more than 20 times, advising the press to take their questions to another source for the answers.

When a cellophane packet of cocaine was found in the west wing of the White House, in a spot under the eyes of "everywhere" cameras, Jean-Pierre snapped at reporters who wanted to know if a Biden was responsible. The President's chief spokesperson said that the Bidens were gone from the White House on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the period when the "white gravel" was discovered....period. The secret service is conducting an investigation, she said, adding that she had nothing "else to share" on the matter....and the questions from reporters were "incredibly irresponsible.".

Questions of Biden familiarity with Cocaine are reasonable. Son Hunter is a confirmed cocaine addict who was thrown out the navy for his addiction, and daughter, Ashley Blazer Biden has spent time in a drug rehab facility trying to dump the habit. Even daughter-in-law, Hallie Biden, widow of Biden's son Beau, has been wrestling with the habit and has been to rehab quarters several times. Hallie's visits to rehab facilities have, according to emails written by her brother-in-law, Hunter, cost around $100,000 and were paid for all or in part by her father-in-law.

Jean Pierre has drawn criticism with her comments on the transporting of migrants from the open southern border alongside Texas to New York, Chicago and the bay area of Massachusetts and other urban centers.

Bussing and flying migrants around the country without coordination by the federal government, is "dangerous and unacceptable," said the press secretary. "We will continue to be very clear about that. It is dangerous and unacceptable because it is putting people's lives at risk. Also, you are putting a lot of pressure on these states and local areas."

What Americans should know, she added, is that the president has done the work to deal with what we're seeing at the border "since day one," she said. Their criticism amounts to "political stunts."

A Republican researcher who heard Jean-Pierre on television, quipped that "her irony is rich." It takes a "special kind of stupid to say something that absurd. Doesn't she know that 6 million illegal migrants jammed into a few states along the border puts pressure and stress on these states and communities?

News analyst Tucker Carlson who is never reluctant to provide his assessment of political figures, summed up his opinion of Karine Jean-Pierre prior to leaving his prime time anchor position at Fox News. Others may not agree with me. But one thing that I am sure of is that Policeman Derek Chauvin, 47, did not receive a fair trial on the charges of murder and manslaughter of George Floyd, a hardened criminal, high on heroin and fentanyl.

Floyd succumbed on May 25, 2020 while being detained as a suspect by police on a Minneapolis street. Officer Chauvin was convicted by a twin-city jury in April, 2021 of unintentional murder and manslaughter and sentenced by Judge Peter Cahill to 22.5 years in prison. The recommended prison time in Minnesota for the specific offenses is 12.5 years. However, Judge Cahill added 10 years onto the sentence because of the officer's alleged unnecessary "cruelty" in making the arrest.

Chauvin used his knee on the suspect's throat to detain him and settle him down. It is a technique taught policemen in Minnesota and in police departments across the country, and Chauvin made use of it. The fact that Floyd was an African American had nothing to do with his method of detainment, nor was it an exercise in "cruelty."

Floyd's death created a firestorm of rage in black communities across America. That rage was exacerbated and transmitted by a media which thundered the calls for punishment for the white, racist cop and three rookies who assisted him in subduing Floyd and in exercising crowd control.

The unintended death of George Floyd, whose lengthy police record was known to Minneapolis officers, and whose precise cause of death was never scientifically determined, triggered riots, arsons, deaths and billions of dollars in destruction of property in major cities across America. Demands for the punishing of the Minneapolis policemen were overwhelming. It was all about race and police denigration of blacks. Conviction for murder by the policeman was an absolute given and a foregone conclusion.

Alan M. In July, just last month, the Minnesota Supreme Court denied the appeal in a one-page order without comment, effectively exhausting the defendant's state remedies.

Attorneys for the 19-year-veteran police officer, who is serving his enhanced prison sentence designed by the trial judge to assuage the BLW organization lest it continue its warlike activities, said that the case will be appealed to the United States Supreme Court and the necessary petition to the court for certiorari is being prepared for filing, according to available information.

There is confidence in some areas that SCOTUS, the nation's highest court, whose courage to follow the law became evident when it overruled Roe v. Wade in June of 2022, will accept the Chauvin appeal and will ultimately make a final determination.

Let the court, headed by Chief Justice John Roberts, examine the Floyd case with fresh, unstained glasses and it is my opinion that it will see that Chauvin was denied a fair trial and was made to suffer at the hands of a judge who erred in countless rulings and who declined several petitions for a change of venue where a "fair trial" could be provided in accord with the U.S. Constitution.

The high court needs to consider the lawlessness which was sweeping Minneapolis and other urban centers as the trial went forward. As a jury was being finalized, the city of Minneapolis announced that it was awarding $27 million to the Floyd family in view of the death of George Floyd. The jury that had not been sequestered, very likely became aware of the award and may have considered the dire consequences if it failed to find Officer Chauvin guilty of murdering the black man.

One juror selected, an African American high school coach, lied during a voir dire examination by asserting that he had no prejudice or opinion favoring Floyd; or negative assessments of policemen. He was promptly approved as one of the 12 jurors. Later, it became known that the juror had participated in a rally on behalf of George Floyd and had worn a tee shirt inscribed with the comment, "get your knee off of my neck." The jury was tainted from day one.

The courthouse where the trial took place was converted into a fortress and was rimmed with coiled wire as the unsequestered jurors passed in and out during the six weeks of trial. Down the street were areas where buildings and shops were torn apart and had suffered damages in the hundreds of millions of dollars. The nearby intersection where Floyd died, was transformed into "George Floyd Square," and it contained pictures of Floyd and other momentos calling attention to the racial killing by police.

Congresswoman Maxine Waters of Texas, an African American, announced that there would be trouble if the jury failed to deliver a verdict of murder. If the defendant is not found guilty of murder, she said, there will be retaliation, and "we will get confrontational."

President Biden was always in the corner of the prosecutors and while not singling out defendant Chauvin for misconduct, commented publicly that p<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: "Poynter Serif RE", Georgia, Times, serif; font-size: large;">olice departments were "systemically racist," and that the nation's problem was caused by white supremacists.

Judge Cahill declined to allow as a defense witness at trial the companion of Floyd whose testimony would have contradicted much of the testimony on which the prosecution had built its case for murder or manslaughter by a police officer prejudiced against blacks.

On several occasions during the trial, defense lawyers petitioned Cahill to grant a change of venue and allow the trial to be held in a less stormy area; and which would help in guaranteeing that the defendant received a fair trial, pursuant to the U.S. Constitution. Cahill denied the petitions commenting that the anti-police sentiment would be the same in every other jurisdiction.

The enhanced penalty of 22.5 years with the last 10 tacked on for "cruelty," was among rulings of Judge Cahill in his biased attempt to please the enraged black community which was tearing up the streets of cities across the country, with calls for the defunding of police departments.

If it grants the Writ of Certiorari as anticipated, the Supreme Court with its nine justices will examine all aspects of the case and determine if the defendant was treated fairly. The court can affirm the conviction; or it can reverse findings, or it can order that a new trial be held in a different venue before a sequestered jury.

Was Prof. Dershowitz wrong when he said that there was "no way" that Derek Chauvin could receive a fair trial in Minneapolis?

xxx

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-50169042719119602002023-08-12T14:12:00.043-05:002023-09-01T12:00:17.042-05:00TRUMP AND THE STACKED DECK

 BY BILL JUNEAU

Without a doubt, the terrain is rocky and rough for Donald Trump as he pursues the Presidency in 2024. Democratic cannons are aimed at him and the deck has been carefully and conspiratorially stacked against him. But the former President who has been accused of misdeeds in three pending legal cases, does not scare easily. He is running again for the office which he once held as President, and says he will win and will restore common sense, honesty, civility and patriotism to the United States. "Yes, we will Make America Great Again," he asserts.

His latest legal encounter was in Washington, D.C. where a grand jury has returned indictments alleging that he was the catalyst and conspirator who promoted the mob action in the capitol on January 6, 2021. The political charges are rooted in his unsuccessful effort to demonstrate that the election which put dim Joe Biden in the White House was dishonest, and in fact, "stolen." If you are a Democrat and a liar and a progressive loon, D.C. is ground zero, and the place to go to take down Republican Donald Trump.

GOP-hating Democrats dominate the District of Columbia, the nation's capital, like no other spot in the country. In the 2020 election, Joe Biden received 92.1 per cent of the total votes cast to Trump's 5.4 per cent. In numbers, it was about 317,000 votes for Biden and 18,000 for the incumbent President. Since D.C. became a special territory in 1961, able to cast three electoral votes, democratic candidates for president have always drawn majorities, but the Biden victory there in 2020 set records.

So it was not difficult for the Party of the Jackass inside the District of Columbia to assemble a Grand Jury of 23 local residents to return indictments accusing the former President of criminally attempting to turn around the alleged results of the 2020 election. In a grand jury proceeding, the prosecutor presents only evidence of guilt and jurors will, with rare exceptions, acquiesce and return a true bill.

A bitter Trump hater, Jack Smith was tabbed as special investigative counsel by the owly and disingenuous Attorney General, Merrick Garland. Smith, who Trump has labeled as "deranged," presented flimsy, one-sided and fabricated evidence that Trump and his attorneys committed criminal offenses when they argued without basis that the election was dishonest. The indictments were returned in shotgun fashion by the cooperating D.C. grand jury.

While the Biden victory was manipulated in a variety of ways, the Trump team demanded to know how the clumsy and befuddled Biden who rarely campaigned for the Presidency, relying on scripts written for him and read by him via television from the basement of his Delaware home, could have earned several million more votes from the African American community than Barack Obama had ever received in his successful races in 2008 and 2012. Trump has contended that the ballots, many blank except for a single mark for Biden, had to have been faked to provide such a count, yet judges declined to recognize the obvious incongruity, and order an investigation.

On August 3, former President Trump pleaded not guilty to all charges against him concerning alleged criminal efforts to change election results. He appeared before the 35-year-old Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadhyaya, who nastily referred to the ex President as "Mr. Trump," while warning him that any further criminal activities by him will trigger additional legal actions against him. Upadhyaya was appointed a magistrate judge in September of last year.

Magistrate Upadhyaya was born in Gujarat, India in 1988 and, according to her biography, which raises many questions, is a prodigy who graduated from law school when she was 15. The law degree followed undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri where she obtained bachelor degrees in journalism and in Latin arts.

She received her J.D., cum laude, from Washington College of Law at American University in 2003. making her about 10 when she began her studies there. Correspondingly, it appears that she was 6 or 7, barely out of kindergarten, when she began her undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri and subsequently earned two bachelor degrees. After law school, she was said to have clerked for judges and for a period was a partner at a law firm, doing pro bono work for which she won awards.

After Upadhyaya dealt with the arraignment of the defendant, all subsequent matters and motions, will be given to Jamaican-born District Judge Tanya Chutkan, for pretrial motions and the jury trial. An appointee of President Obama, Chutkan, a former public defender, has been outspoken about the harm caused by the capitol melee, and in other rulings and writings she has not concealed her negative assessment of former President Trump who has described Judge Chutkan as the democrats' "number one draft pick."

Mark Levin, a respected lawyer who hosts "<span face=""Google Sans", Roboto, arial, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #202124;">Life, Liberty & Levin" on Fox News, has described Chutkan as the most "radical, partisan activist judge in the entire federal judiciary. Gee, I wonder how she got chosen.”

Trump, President from 2016 to 2020, made his first appearance before Judge Chutkan on August 11, and Chotkan raised her concerns that the ex-president must be limited in what he can say about the pending case and the charges against him even though he is a candidate for President in 2024, and is campaigning for the nomination of his party. Well, he cannot say what he wants to say in a political speech; "that is just how it’s going to have to be.” said Chutkan. Trump lawyers are arguing that the judge is stepping upon freedom of speech rights provided all Americans, including those facing federal charges.

Chutkan scheduled another hearing for November 4 at which the court will determine the extent of records which the Trump administration must release to the prosecutors.

Trump is the defendant in two other lawsuits accusing him of felonious conduct. One deals with his possession of classified documents kept in his Florida home under the protection of secret service agents. The other, brought by a New York district attorney, accuses the ex president of a hush money scheme involving adult film star Stormy Daniels. Both are deemed political fabrication by Republicans and fair minded Americans who expect that the charges will be dismissed via motions, or after a trial.

So for the ex-President, seeking his second term in the White House, the obstacles thrown into his path are vicious, but Trump says that they are surmountable. His followers will never desert him, and lawsuits aimed at him by an authoritarian group which has abandoned all objectivity, honesty and honor, and according to polls, seem to be making him stronger.

Democrats and the top level in the politicized FBI and the Department of Justice should be worried if Donald Trump again becomes president. He does not take kindly to liars and corrupt officials; and he is not projected to be a forgiving person.

xxx
Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-81024788073767783302023-07-30T13:18:00.037-05:002023-10-07T13:48:33.451-05:00Grandpa Biden's about face

 BY BILL JUNEAU

After President Biden had turned up his nose on his 7th grandchild, a girl fathered by his crack-addicted son, Hunter, he was raked over by friends and foes alike as a mean, selfish. and lying politician whose claim of being a devoted family man was "inauthentic" political garble.

"Roll it back," his advisers told him, and so Biden did just that. He announced and sent out a statement to People magazine that he was the "grandfather of seven," and his family tree now included the four-year-old daughter of Hunter's and that the child's privacy needed to be protected. He had no apology for his earlier lie, and his egotistical stance was typical of the Biden posture displayed by him over the past 52 years as an elected official. President Joe Biden's wild, drug-choked son had fathered a child with a strip tease artist, Lunden Alexis Roberts, 32, with whom he had become acquainted as she performed at the swinging Mpire Gentleman's Club in Washington, D.C., a spot where Hunter was well known to hang out and where he was known as a big spender.

Hunter's daughter with Lunden Roberts was born in November of 2018, and had been named Navy Joan Roberts. In 2017, Hunter and his wife Kathleen Buhle were divorced after some 24 years of being married, and it was around the time that Hunter was having a romantic interlude with his late brother's widow, Hallie Biden. Like Hunter and others in the Biden family, Hallie, too, was a heavy crack user and had done stints at a rehab facility.

In 2019, following a six day courtship, Hunter married Melissa Cohen of South Africa, and in 2020, their son, Beau, named after his late brother Beau who had died in 2015 of a brain tumor, was born.

Following the birth of Navy Joan Roberts, Hunter denied that he was the father, and Navy's mother filed a lawsuit charging him with paternity. After several years of litigation, Hunter submitted to blood and DNA testing, and a Circuit Judge in Arkansas ruled that Hunter was the father of Navy and was ordered to pay child support. The baby's mother sought to have Navy's last name changed to Biden, but she later withdrew the request after Hunter agreed to place expensive art work and investments in Navy Joan's name.

Hunter's fight to escape the paternity of Navy Roberts was pretty much ignored by the media which always protects Democrats against negative publicity until the Arkansas court landed on the President's son for his behavior and efforts to ignore his new daughter and his strip-dancing paramour.

When word from Arkansas circulated, reporters began asking President Biden's press secretary about the new grandchild and that led Biden to lie and announce that "I have six grandchildren." His aides and staffers were put on notice that any comment about a seventh grandchild could cost them their job.

Perhaps it was the New York Times' liberal columnist Maureen Dowd who called out President Biden for his savage disregard of his seventh granddaughter born out of wedlock. Dowd noted that the President repeatedly has said that for him, the absolute most important thing is family---it is the heart of his political narrative--his stock in trade. "Callously scarring Navy's life just as it gets started, undercuts that." Dowd wrote.

"What the Navy Roberts story reveals, said Dowd, "is how dated and inauthentic the 80-year-old president’s view of family is."

On Friday, July 28, shortly after the comments by the NYT writer, Biden did his turn about, and acknowledged his new grandchild. She developed a big vocabulary, but at times she could be stubborn when a call from us got in the way of sniffing or chasing the small lizards known as geckos.

When Sammi was 12, she had some dental problems and lost all teeth but her front canines, two in the upper jaw, and two in the lower. We worried, but Sammi quickly adapted to the situation, and soon she continued eating with her voracious appetite. Meals were a delight to her and she actually would bounce her front paws up and down as the food dish was on its way. Treats? she was always ready to have one, and knew how to beg and ask when the moment required it.

We moved from Florida to Illinois in 2018 and Sammi handled it well. She certainly missed chasing the lizards and frogs of Florida, but otherwise was out there barking at the birds and squirrels, rabbits, possums and raccoons if they dared show their faces in or near our rear yard.

The past year was difficult for Sammi as she contended with a tumor on her abdomen which grew to an enormous size. It got in the way of her walking and we fitted her with a girdle type jacket which would hold the tumor up. But Sammi handled it well and continued to demand that she be allowed to chase her ball, and walks through our neighborhood were frequent.

We knew that Sammi's days were numbered and that she would have to leave us, and we figured--and we were right--she let us know that it was time for her to leave, and she thanked us for everything and we hugged her and said goodby.

The following is a short poem which was sent to Chrissy and me after Sammi's departure.

I was just a pup when we met, and I loved you from the start. You picked me up and took me home and placed me in your heart.

Good times we had together, we shared all life could throw. But hey, he is a man of faith, who believes in family, and professes that he is a "devout Catholic" and that he attends mass regularly and always partakes of communion. That should count for something.

He has boasted of his love and affection for his six grandchildren, born to his sons, Hunter, 53, and the late Beau who died in 2015 of a brain tumor.

But President Biden has declined to recognize existence of a seventh grandchild avowing that the little girl, born in 2018 as a product of son Hunter's fling with a D.C stripper, will never be part of the Biden family tree. Dr. Jill, the President's wife, endorses the cruel and selfish declaration of her senile husband; and aides, staffers and associates have been informed by the President to be careful: "there are "six Biden grandchildren...period."

In recent weeks, this nasty, cruel side of the nation's 46th President emerged when the public learned that Biden's crack- addicted son, Hunter, 53, who reportedly is now spending much of his time in the White house with his wife, Melissa Cohen, had fathered Navy Joan Roberts, following a romance with Lunden Alexis Roberts, who danced and writhed around a pole on the stage of the Mpire Gentleman's Club in Washington, D.C.

In 2017, Hunter and his wife for 24 years, Kathleen Buhle, were divorced. Their three children are Naomi, 29; Finnegan, 22 and Maisy, also in her early 20s. In 2019, following a whirlwind six day courtship, Hunter married Melissa Cohen from South Africa, and their son, Beau, named after Hunter's brother, was born in March of 2020.

The President's other two grandchildren are Natali, 18, and Robert, 17. They were the offspring of son, Beau, and his wife, Hallie.

The authenticity of Joe Biden as a family man, and a man of faith are now being flushed away as his lies reveal his selfish and corrupt character. In fact, efforts are underway to impeach Biden whose activities and corrupt practices make the story of the Watergate president look like child's play.

While telling of his devotion to the Catholic church, Biden has asserted from his "pulpit" in the White House that he supports unrestricted abortions as the prerogative of a woman---even in those final moments before birth. If an expectant mother, on the way to the delivery room, decides that the baby must be eliminated, that is fine with President Biden. His position on abortion contradicts basic doctrines of the Roman Catholic church, and some priests have denounced Biden as a fraud who should be denied communion and thrown out of the church.

In this day and age of "transgendering" and sex instruction and race talk for very young children, Biden is what you might call "super woke." Biden is strong on behalf of adjusting young children by surgically re-fixing their gender with or without the consent of parents. He speaks with high praise of the LGBTQ community, and has said that its members (always referred to by him with the proper pronouns) are among the most "brave and courageous persons I have ever met, and I have met a lot of people in my time."

President Biden's conduct in favor of changing the sex of children who are barely old enough to be in school has prompted one member of Congress to accuse him of being a "pedophile," possessing a demented interest in sexualizing children. He spins his woke views with lies and characterizes critics of the LGBTQ community as "systemically racist."

Bent over a microphone and speaking in his customary "horse whisper" and with crib notes in his hand, he regularly demonizes white- skinned Republicans of being " MEGA White Supremacists." Apparently to Joe Biden, the only white skinned politicians who are not racists are Democrats like him. Last May, following several years of paternity suit litigation, Hunter was found through DNA analysis to be the father of Navy Joan Roberts, now 4. An Arkansas judge ordered child support to be paid by Hunter to the baby's mother. Also, the judge ordered that paintings and artwork of Hunter's were to be set aside as property in Navy Joan's name. Ms. Roberts who has custody of Navy Joan, initially attempted to have Navy's last name changed to "Biden," but she subsequently withdrew that demand.

New York Times' liberal writer Maureen Dowd, wrote a column shaming President Biden for declining to acknowledge his seventh grandchild born out of wedlock.

Dowd said that Joe Biden's mantra has always been that the absolute most important thing is family---it is the heart of his political narrative--his stock in trade. "Callously scarring Navy's life just as it gets started, undercuts that." Dowd wrote.

Last Christmas, Biden saw to it that six stockings for grandchildren would be hung in the White House. "What the Navy Roberts story reveals, said Dowd, "is how dated and inauthentic the 80-year-old president’s view of family is."

XXX
<p style="background-color: white; border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: Roboto, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-feature-settings: inherit; font-kerning: inherit; font-optical-sizing: inherit; font-size: 18px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-alternates: inherit; font-variant-east-asian: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; font-variation-settings: inherit; line-height: 28px; margin: 0px 0px 28px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-37541215419455911222023-07-08T14:12:00.063-05:002023-07-14T19:40:02.040-05:00COCAINE IN THE BIDEN WHITE HOUSE

 BY BILL JUNEAU

Yes, there was a small cellophane container of cocaine or white "gravel" found inside the White House several days ago.

The ten-cent baggie of white powder, also called, "yam-yam" is an old friend to users like Hunter Biden and his half-sister, Ashley Blazer Biden, who are familiar visitors to the White House. The illegal substance was happened upon by a security officer on July 2 inside the historic presidential home and headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Hunter and Ashley are family members well known to agents at the White House. The story of Hunter's corruption and drug use has been told in a laptop computer which he discarded and which is now in the hands of the FBI. Ashley, the 42-year old daughter of the President and Dr. Jill, accidentally left behind a diary in a drug rehab center and it found its way into media hands. It revealed her story of sexual dalliances as a young woman and her being sexually molested by an unidentified family member; and showering with her father, which she added was "not appropriate."

For unexplained reasons, the precise location inside the mansion has never been pinpointed, but the finder was a secret service agent, one of a great many assigned to the White House, whose job it is to assure maximum security and decorum in the great American mansion. These agents guard every entrance without exception, as well as always strolling about and watching for questionable visitors and incidents.

When first spotted, it was reported, there was concern that the powder was deadly anthrax, but in short order it was confirmed that it was cocaine. In 2001, a small concentration of
Anthrax, the lethal bacteria that is also a plain white powder, was detected on a mechanical device known as a "slitter," which is used to open mail destined for the White House. It was in a mail facility that processes letters to the White House. The facility was closed for further testing, and environmental tests turned up negative. In past years, mailed Anthrax has caused the deaths of several persons.

Opinion makers have said that the cocaine could actually be sourced in the direction of five members of the Biden family. At the top of the list are, Hunter Biden, a confirmed addict, but now said to be clean; and his half-sister, Ashley Biden Krein, wife of a plastic surgeon. Both Bidens have spent some time in rehab centers coping with the habit. Other Bidens, the President's brother, Frank and niece Caroline, and the late son Beau's widow, Hallie, also have had stints in rehab facilities, according to the Daily Mail and other media arms. In some cases, rehab had been ordered by a judge.

The president's brother James, who has been a partner of Hunter's in his rich, Biden-named enterprises, has apparently not been a user of cocaine, so far as has been reported.

On television, just last night, Ned Ryun, American Majority CEO, guested on the Ingraham Angle show, and said that the little cellophane bag must have been, without doubt, Hunter's stashed treat. "Everyone in the White House knows who put it wherever it was found," said Ryun. "There are cameras everywhere in the building." Answers will forever remain with the Bidens, and the door will eventually close on the so-called "investigation."

Hunter's cocaine addiction is well known, and his dad has said that he is "very proud of his son who kicked the habit." But Joe Biden's history as a "complete liar" is well documented so his word on the source of the baggie or on Hunter's reformation is anyone's guess.

The so-styled 10-cent baggie was found somewhere; maybe in a library or in the west wing or in the situation room, but it is now in the hands of the Secret Service, which according to Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has opened an investigation. But details, says the diminutive, curly, twirly, red Afro-haired Jean-Pierre, is not now for public consumption, and she said she definitely "cannot share more" with reporters at this time.

However, Jean-Pierre emphasized to questioning reporters that the cocaine was found on Sunday, July 2, and that the President and Dr. Jill were not on the premises. They were away from the White House on "on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and yes, even Monday," and that's for the record, she said.

Many newsmen are saying "look no further than the 53-year-old Hunter" whose cocaine habit has been voracious. Back in 2013, he was kicked out of the navy because of the uncontrolled addiction. Photographs of him almost naked with an unkempt look and a crank pipe hanging from his mouth have gone viral and even the NYT and WAPO, arms of the Democratic party, acknowledge the woeful background of Hunter and the legitimacy of his discarded laptop computer in the hands of the FBI.

A copy of the hard drive from the Laptop computer is possessed by Congress. It has revealed the story of Hunter's corruption and money laundering, and his get-rich contracts with China, Ukraine and Russia. The contracts have, according to congressional investigators, provided money to some ten members of the Biden family with big chunks of money earmarked for "Pop" or the "Big Guy" as Vice President Biden, now President Biden, was then addressed.

Very likely, the end result of the crack "investigation" will be that someone possessing the baggie came into the White House through the west wing entrance and maybe it fell out of a pocket or a briefcase that had been overlooked by some errant security agent. No denizen of the White House was involved.

With the Biden administration, promised truth and transparency are not a way of life. Lies and cover ups are the name of the game, and that menu will conclude any "investigation."

XXX

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-19445186202403267102023-07-03T17:22:00.153-05:002023-08-19T15:18:57.268-05:00ADAM SCHIFF CENSURED

 BY BILL JUNEAU

Over the last two and one-half centuries, the United States House of Representatives has been sympathetic and inclined to look the other way as to errant members ----the cheaters, liars, schemers and pretenders. In those many years, the House has expelled five members and "censured" 24. Adults and children danced about on the grounds of the historical Washington residence, some half-naked and others tattooed heavily and wearing rainbow-colored garb.

For Joe and Dr. Jill, it was a celebration of Pride month and they delivered their respect and honor for the LGBTQ lifestyle and way of life.

A "Pride" flag was attached to the White House and positioned prominently along side the American flag. Demonstrating participants who used to be men, now bared their new full breasts as they jiggled and rocked about to the beat of music. It was time to "show the nipple," and the President watched through his "aviator glasses." Other participants who had been women, and are now men, displayed their muscles and chest scars attesting to the removal of their breasts.

For most Americans who witnessed films and read about the behavior on the manicured green lawn outside of the prestigious residence of the nation's President, it was a time of disgust and sadness at the circus. The gathering had the endorsement of the mentally impaired Biden and his flaky wife, Jill, who are treating the LGBTQ activists with a greater reverence and awe than they have ever bestowed upon the nation's policemen or veterans who have died in defense of the USA and its citizens.

A goodly crowd came to the White House, but they were mostly woke-minded couples with their children and mindless activists whooping it up in celebration of the special salute to the LGBTQ community. Out in front of the celebrants was Rene Montoya, a "trans" woman, who displayed her large bare breasts for Joe and Jill. Ms. Montoya eagerly spoke with reporters and answered questions.

With the newspersons and for the cameras aimed her way, Montoya held her hands over her bare breasts and said that she had "zero intention" of trying to be vulgar or profane in any way. In covering her nipples, she explained, she did so so that others would not jump to wrong conclusions. She said the cover up for the photographers was done "just to play it safe."

America's dim 46th President, now a candidate for a another term, seemed to be enjoying Montoya, watching through his aviator sunglasses. Biden is a man with a long record of fixating on young women. Even his daughter, Ashley, has acknowledged in a diary that her dad used to shower with her, noting that it really was not appropriate.

When the President, who has the appellation among millions as "Creepy Joe," announced his intention to run for President in 2019, about a dozen women came forward and told of unpleasant and annoying experiences with him. They detailed how he would sniff their hair and and nestle his head onto their shoulders. One woman, Tara Reade, an employee of his senatorial office in the 1990s, demonized him and accused him of grabbing her in a darkened hallway of the capitol and thrusting his hand under her skirt, acting like a lion in heat. In another case, it has been reported, a young girl of under 10, has accused him of "pinching her nipple."

In Biden's interview a few months ago with Dylan Mulvaney, the transgendered 26-year-old woman who screamed of her love of Bud-Light beer in Anheuser Busch sponsored commercials, he assured her of his admiration for the LBGTQ community. No legislature must block the advances of the "trans" community, said Biden, emphasizing that he strongly endorsed "gender identity bathrooms." Since the commercial with Dylan and in the past year, Anheuser Busch has said it lost billions of dollars as a result of using the transgendered Dylan Mulvaney as an "influencer" in commercials designed to popularize the beer with the younger generation.

Biden spoke to the crowd for about 20 minutes praising the transgendering community and the LGBTQ lifestyles. "I mean this; I swear to God," said Biden, "you’re some of the most — you’re some of the bravest and most inspiring people I’ve ever known--- and I’ve known a lot of good folks." Biden's remarks and the Pride celebration at the White House was held even though more than 500 anti-LGBTQ bills have been introduced this year in 41 states.

A few days following the noisy and obscene celebration on the south lawn, Biden spokespersons apologized for the behavior of some participants. "It wasn't appropriate. It's disrespectful. And let's not -- it really does not reflect the event that we hosted to celebrate the LGBTQ families" said Biden Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre. The conduct of some persons celebrating was not a "normal thing" and will not be repeated in the future, she emphasized.

All in all, the celebration on the the lawn of the White House, calling the transgendering community courageous and brave in the face of criticism, was another abomination by a President who skates on the edge of dementia and senility and who is working to transform the United States into a country unrecognizable by the men and women who have made it great.

xxx

"
Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-7527086877738261082023-05-27T07:57:00.876-05:002023-10-07T13:55:03.038-05:00 DYLAN MULVANEY, INFLUENCER FOR BUD LIGHT

 BY BILL JUNEAU

Reading the news these days, you may well come across Dylan Mulvaney, the media's latest transgendering hero. After his star rose as an elder in the broadway musical, "The Book of Mormon," he told the world of his moving from boyhood to girlhood in Tik Tok videos which attracted millions of followers. Last year, Anheuser Busch retained Dylan as an "influencer" who would make drinking Bud Light, an even greater adventure.

The company put the face of Dylan on the blue beer can and the bubbly, chirpy Dylan, wearing a "Breakfast at Tiffany" outfit, hailed the popular brand in commercials. <span face="Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; letter-spacing: -0.16px;">This month, she said, " I celebrated my 365 days of womanhood and Bud Light sent me possibly the best gift ever — a can with my face on it" Another video featured Dylan in a sudsy bathtub, having a cool Bud Light.

Anheuser Busch and its public relations team were certain that the transitioning, carefully-coiffed lady Dylan, would sweeten the pot for the beer company and that admirers of Dylan would rush to pop open Bud Light cans ---or so the company thought.

<span face="Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: large; letter-spacing: -0.01em;"> It didn't work that way and by last April, following a year of Dylan pushing Bud Light, records were in and stats showed that sales and consumption of the nation's best selling beer tanked and the company lost billions of dollars. Criticism was heavy and not flattering for the prancing, smirking and heavily made up Dylan, who is praised by LGBTQ activists who believe that men and woman can determine their sex despite the sexual package given them at birth.

<span face="Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: large; letter-spacing: -0.01em;"> Singer <span face="Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif" style="letter-spacing: -0.01em;">Kid Rock became so outraged over the company's partnering with Dylan Mulvaney that he <span face="Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif" style="letter-spacing: -0.01em;">used Bud Light beer cans as targets on a rifle range; and after destroying several dozen cans with his firepower, he turned to the cameras and yelled, "f--- Bud Light and f..... The surgery, she said, took "multiple hours and included; a hairline advancement; a brow bone shave; a rhinoplasty; a cheek enhancement; a lip lift; a jaw shave; a chin reduction; and a tracheal shave." Even her "tiny nipples," she exclaims proudly, have been doubled in size.

She had a sit-down interview with President Biden a big promoter of gender changing, abortion and the sexualizing of children. It is a topic with which the befuddled Biden hunches over and speaks of in his customary horse whisper. In response to a question from Dylan, President Biden said that he was definitely in favor of "gender identity bathrooms." Also, he said, that it would be "illegal and immoral" for the banning of gender affirming health care --and for interfering with the transgendering of a person

The message to Anheuser Busch and to other corners of America seems loud and clear that the transgendering craze and the new girlhood for Dylan is not looked upon with favor by millions of Americans, including those who like drinking beer. As some have said, "changing genders is not in nature's playbook and certainly is not something to aspire to; and transitioning persons should not be treated as a priestly class that can do no wrong."

Very likely, Anheuser Busch is wishing that it could quietly sneak away and wash their hands of all associations with the "trans" new lady and her "influencing" on behalf of Bud Light.

Without addressing the Dylan Mulvaney backlash and problems directly, Anheuser CEO Brendan Whitworth said that his 165- year-old company is in the business of bringing people together over a beer and not in creating issues which will divide them.

Anson Frericks, former president of Anheuser Busch, didn't mince words. And she indeed left a legacy. No elected woman ever had as dirty a mouth as Lightfoot exhibited, and no mayor was ever so absorbed in tracking down racial politics in every corner of the city. She had no time for budgets or deficits or stopping crime while alleged white supremacists were lurking anywhere in the Windy City.

. Lightfoot, 60, had the distinction of being the city's first black, lesbian chief executive. She is family oriented and has a wife and an adopted daughter. Lightfoot was feisty and wielded a fist at anyone who challenged her assertions. If you argued and resisted, she got angry and often accused the critic of being a racist.

She scrambled about City Hall during her first 24 months in office with virtually no accomplishments to point to. She watched as crime spiraled upward with street shootings and killings breaking Chicago records. On the anniversary of her first two years as mayor in 2021, she was given a cake with two candles to mark the occasion. But she added more than a gracious "thank you" for the occasion.

In the future, she announced, she would only grant one-on-one interviews to reporters who are "people of color." Chicago City Hall, she said, has way too many white journalists compared to the number of reporters "of color,"and that situation is intolerable and must change. Her comments drew national attention, but no one was heard endorsing her new program. One TV anchor from Fox News described her as a "lunatic racist" who should not hold a public office. Tulsi Gabbard, a former congresswoman and a Democrat who had run for President in 2020, called for her resignation, and importuned President Biden and Vice President Harris to join her in the demand.

Before President Trump left office in January of 2021, he contacted Lightfoot and offered to send armed troops to Chicago to help in the fight against street crime. Lightfoot refused and said she considered the President a "racist" and that she would have nothing to do with him. The Chicago Tribune upbraided Lightfoot for her attitude and advised her to be more "collaborative" with the President of the United States.

Lightfoot came aboard as Chicago's mayor in 2019 after a tough primary fight and a run-off election against County Board President Toni Preckwinkle which she won in a landslide. Lightfoot succeeded Rahm Emanuel who had been mayor for eight years, but declined to seek a third four-year term. Lightfoot took office as a popular new mayor, receiving broad support from the Teachers union and others in the city, Republicans as well as Democrats.

Most members of the Chicago city council applauded her election and predicted great things to come under the diminutive and feisty new mayor who had been a federal prosecutor and had served as the President of the Chicago Police Board. But four years later, hardly anyone in the council wanted her for a second term. One council member, a democrat, described her as a mayor who"played the race card" whenever there was a challenge to one of her loony proposals.

Democratic Ald. Sue Sadowski Garza was a strong Lightfoot supporter, but when time for her second term arrived, she did a backflip on her support of the mayor, and didn't hold back. "She will never again get my support," she announced. "In four years, the mayor has managed to piss off everyone with whom she comes into contact....police, fire, teachers, aldermen, businesses, and manufacturing," said Garza.

Mayor Lightfoot failed to focus on gun crime even though participants were African Americans shooting their black brothers and sisters. Instead, she became a critic of Chicago policemen trying to do their jobs. She saw "racism" anytime a white policeman acted against a black citizen even when officers saw their targets breaking the law. She instigated policies that set limits on when a police officer could pursue a suspect who had committed a crime or appeared to be preparing to commit a crime. Uniformed officers voted a "no confidence" in her and considered her foot pursuit policy as impossible and ridiculous. Rank and file Chicago officers voted a "no confidence" in Lightfoot and in the new police chief she had appointed.

In in the aftermath of the George Floyd death, Lightfoot ordered the removal of statues of Christopher Columbus from two Chicago Parks on grounds that the Italian icon, Columbus, mistreated blacks. Later, efforts were made by park district lawyers, at the request of Italian lawyers, to have a statue in a Columbus day parade. Lightfoot objected and engaged in an argument with lawyers in which she said she would make the decisions and that she had the biggest "dick" around. She questioned one lawyer's credentials as an attorney, and he subsequently filed a lawsuit against her for defamation.

At one point, Chicago police, acting upon a warrant signed by a Cook county judge, accidently barged into the home of a woman undressed and preparing for bed --in search of a drug dealer. Officers quickly apologized and the naked occupant was given a blanket by police and was without cover for merely seconds. Mark Flessner, City lawyer, apologized on behalf of the police and the City of Chicago and prepared a check for $50,000 as damages for the woman's embarrassment.

Lightfoot didn't think that was enough and upped the amount to $2.9 million. After all, the woman was African American and the policemen were white. Corporation counsel argued that the multi million dollar settlement for damages was excessive and that the policemen had actually done nothing wrong since they acted pursuant to a warrant. Lightfoot then fired city attorney Flessner, and the city council subsequently approved the $2.9 million as reparations for the horror of being viewed momentarily by white men.

Lightfoot also directed her cries of "systemic racism" against the Chicago Department of Health. Statistics show, said Lightfoot, that life expectancy for blacks is some ten years less than that for whites and Latinos, and that a major reason was the abbreviated care given to Black citizens. Also, there is an overwhelming number of African American residents dying from Covid 19, apparently for want of a vaccination. The Chicago Commissioner of Health has promised to improve care to black residents and to defeat the existing health care crisis.

With Lightfoot's exit from the mayor's office after four years, the gavel has been turned over to Brandon Johnson, 47, an African American who had at one time favored the defunding of police. However, later Johnson said that he wanted money that had been earmarked for police, to be redirected to police social programs which would work hand in hand with police officers in bringing down crime; and would enable policemen to resolve some situations and problems without violence and shootings.

Johnson, Chicago's 57th mayor, was elected last April in a run-off election against Paul Valas, a former CEO of the Chicago schools. Valas, who is white, had promised to restore law and order to the streets of Chicago and to support and return respect to Chicago policemen. Johnson accused Valas of being a "closet republican," who could not be trusted.

Chicagoans are rooting for and hoping for the best and a safer city under Mayor Johnson in its fight against spiraling gun violence and crime and hijackings. In Lightfoot's final weekend as the city's mayor, there were five persons killed and 29 others wounded by gunfire. The youngest victim was a 16 -year-old boy gunned down near "The Bean" in Millennium Park.

Chicagoans look forward to new safety and less violence under the new mayor who officially took office on May 16. Nevertheless, while hoping and praying for better days, citizens are bracing for the possibility that the new mayor has only more of the past to offer.

xxx

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-83641465207300382032023-05-06T17:48:00.419-05:002023-10-07T11:26:31.425-05:00SO THAT WAS TUCKER

 BY BILL JUNEAU

Most everyone was surprised when Tucker Carlson got his pink slip which reportedly came directly from Rupert Murdoch, top owner of the Fox News cable station. No advance notice or rumor, and even Carlson did not know that the axe was on its way.

Lots of speculation as to why Tucker was eliminated. He was drawing in millions of viewers nightly. He annoyed Democrats and probably made the befuddled Joe Biden even more of a basket case as he heard the speeches and pronouncements drafted for him to read being cut up by the conservative Carlson who considered Biden mentally impaired and historically the dumbest of any American president.

There are opinions that a Murdoch son who has always hung with Democrats pushed his dad to excise Tucker's powerful voice; young Murdoch always got applause and good will from the left wing. In any case, the sending of Carlson to the street was a gift to President Biden who has announced his desire for another four year term.

Tucker, 52, was in his seventh year as host of the nightly, prime time show, and he signed off on a Friday by saying---We will see you again on Monday. But on Monday morning, April 24, the news was announced that Tucker and Fox News had parted company; and Fox News bosses thanked their exiting star for his work and contributions. And then the door was closed and Tucker's fight against "lying, pomposity, smugness and groupthink" as he always described it, became his legacy.

Tucker always had plenty of respectable sources as guests on his prime time show. Heavy back up for his belief that 80-year-old Biden is physically and mentally wanting, grew from the words of Texas Congressman Ronny Jackson, a former navy admiral who served as President Obama's trusted doctor before his election to Congress.

As a White House physician, Adm. Jackson knew and saw Biden at work as Obama's Vice President--and he has provided Tucker with plenty of fuel. Said Rep. Jackson: "President Biden does not know what he is doing. Others under him pull his strings...he is dangerous and should not be president."

Tucker believed, as do millions of others, that Biden became President after an election manipulated by dishonest and scheming Democrats who used a politicized FBI and a Department of Justice to get the job done. With the media on their side, and Facebook and Twitter doing their bidding, evidence of Biden's criminal conduct and behavior was kept under wraps and concealed from the eyes and ears of voting citizens. Facts about the infamous Hunter laptop are just now slowly coming to light. Carlson, 52, began hosting his prime time hour on Fox News in 2016 after the station fired "Big Dog" Bill O'Reilly for alleged sexual harassment of women. Carlson who had been a Fox employee since 2009 and was doing odd jobs and handling various gigs, discarded his bow tie and the show, "Tucker Carlson Tonight," was born, and in short order caught the eye of viewers. In a couple of years, Tucker became the number one cable news analyst with a powerful voice, and some four million viewers tuned in daily to his show, and to hear his political take on Washington and the nation's troubled times.

Democrats called Carlson a "liar" and a "racist" at every opportunity, and the far left NYT and WAPO weighed in often seeking to belittle his conservative talk and to persuade advertisers to abandon him. But that didn't work, and Tucker became a popular and powerful voice for conservatives, Christians and Republicans who resented the "cancel culture" and "woke" nonsense being promoted by LGBTQ activists and the dim -witted President.

Tucker had his favorite topics and among them were Ukraine and its war with Russia; the LGBTQ and its growing list of initials, and the gender-transitioning mysticism infecting society. Of course, he always had time to dwell on the blatant corruption of Joe Biden and his cocaine- addicted son, Hunter.

Tucker frequently asked "What exactly," is America's vital national interest in Ukraine? Why are billions of dollars in cash and in military weapons, ammunition, tanks. airplanes, food and clothing being delivered non-stop to Ukraine. When does it end, reporters have asked President Biden. While nervously shuffling his crib notes, the president told reporters "never"....it never ends.

Carlson has said that it was morally wrong for Russia to attack Ukraine, but the first line of resistance to the Kremlin attack should come from European nations who are allied against Russia and its tyrannical president. America's assistance to Ukraine in the past 14 months is reported to be about $100 billion, almost as much as the the United States invested in the eight year war in Vietnam. Where is the accountability from President Zelenskyy? Carlson has said that he believes that America under Biden is dangerously close to bringing about a third world war in Europe.

As part of many of his shows, Carlson spelled out the Biden family corruption linked to the discarded laptop computer of President Biden's son, Hunter. Messages on the laptop have revealed Joe Biden, when vice president and Obama's point man to Ukraine, served as the "chairman" and "figurehead" to Hunter's overseas business dealings with Ukraine, China and Russia.

Many thousands of dollars from those deals, according to Hunter's messages, were earmarked for the "Big Guy" as Hunter referred to his father. Biden has publicly lied and said that he never discussed with Hunter the Hunter contracts; and that the laptop computer is "Russian disinformation." Former Attorney General Barr has said that Joe Biden is a liar.

On several occasions Tucker offered as a guest on his show, Tony Bobulinski, a former naval officer and business associate of Hunter's, who told of meetings with Joe Biden when he was vice president. Despite the allegations, Bobulinski, has never been interviewed by the FBI, and has said that "Joe Biden is a "compromised president" and should resign.

The corruption and cover up of Joe Biden's criminal conduct and that of his son, said Tucker, makes Watergate look like child's play.

Under Joe Biden, America's borders are wide open. The world heard Biden yell, "Com'on in" and he meant every word.---and immigrants brought with them fentanyl and heroin for use, sale and distribution. Border security is the sole responsibility of the federal government, and Biden has thumbed his nose at the responsibility, and thousands of Americans have perished from the illegal fentanyl.

Since Biden became President in 2021, some five million illegal aliens have walked onto American shores. Most check in with patrol officers and then are sent on their way in buses and planes to a desired destination. Hundreds of thousands more simply bypass sign-in procedures and find their own modes of transportation. A year ago, Tucker Carlson was suspended from Twitter for so-called "misgendering" and "hateful speech." The suspension followed a Tucker segment in which he was critical of Dr. Richard Levine's transition to Dr. Rachel Levine after Richard and his spouse had two daughters. The change was in 2011.

Dr. Levine, a pediatrician, was named in 2021 by President Biden as Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health. Subsequently the paper, USA Today, named him as "Woman of the Year," noting his outstanding work during Covid emergencies. A guest on Carlson's show, Seth Dillon, CEO of the satirical Babylon Bee organization. declared that the Bee had named Dr Levine as its "Man of the Year," and had posted relevant comments on Twitter.

"Can an individual just decide to change sexes and become a woman, and direct that he be called by a female name" said Tucker." I think not, and do not intend to apologize to twitter for anything." Carlson says that "transgendering" is biologically impossible and is an abomination which defies the laws of nature. Subsequently, after Elon Musk took control of Twitter, his suspension was lifted.

Carlson is gone from Cable television, at least for now. But he may well in the future show up somewhere with a microphone in his hand, hated by woke democrats and other crazies, but loved and respected by millions who share his values and love for facts and truth. xxx

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417524360655780445.post-42581140728434124512023-04-29T17:11:00.015-05:002023-04-30T14:59:39.966-05:00PETE ROSE SEEKS REDEMPTION

 BY BILL JUNEAU

It was just about 35 years ago that the baseball world got ripped with the news that Pete Rose, who was then a player-manager for the Cincinnati Reds, had been betting on major league baseball games in violation of an unbendable written rule.

Commissioner A. Bartlett Giamatti called him onto the carpet. He drilled the the cocky Rose about his betting with bookies on MLB games, even on games when the "Big Red Machine" (as the Reds were called by sportswriters) was playing. "Betting by me," said Rose, "never happened. All lies by competitors out to get me and bring the team down."

But the evidence against the rough-talking baseball icon who had become an American hero, was overwhelming and irrefutable. Regularly in the spotlight and often quoted by sportswriters, Rose had become the game's hit king. But Rose's celebrity and sensational diamond achievements were not changing the hard-nosed Giamatti's determination to make the lying Rose pay for his malicious disregard for the nobility and rules of the game.

Betting and breaking the game rules did not merit legal prosecution since no criminal laws were broken. But Commissioner Giamatti brought the hammer down in a way which was reminiscent of the punishment spooned out to the notorious "Black Sox" players who took a fall in the 1919 World Series.

Giamatti ordered that Rose be banned from baseball for the rest of his life. He had him "branded" like a piece of cattle as "permanently ineligible" for induction into the prestigious Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. Giamatti died in 1989 and his successors, Fay Vincent, Bud Selig and then Rob Manfred, refused formal and informal requests from Rose to back off or reduce the the Giamatti sanction which provided that he would never be a member of the sacred Hall.

Rose persisted in talks and in interviews in denying that he had ever bet on baseball games. However, in 2004, he authored an autobiography, and "came clean" acknowledging that he had bet on games due to his gambling addiction--and always bet on the Reds to win. He said that he regretted his misconduct and his lying, and hoped that some day he could be forgiven for his wrongdoings, indiscretions, foibles and mistakes, and be given a second chance.

In 2015 and then again in November of 2022, Rose beseeched Commissioner Manfred in letters to show mercy and to forgive him for his rule breaking as his conduct was wrong, but not such as deserving of the horrendous punishment given him. Rose importuned the new commissioner Manfred, elected in 2015, to forgive his betting on games, and give him a second chance----and permit him to be a candidate for induction into the Hall of Fame.

In 2015, Manfred issued a quick no to Rose's request for some mercy and understanding, noting that Rose lacks a "mature understanding of his wrongful conduct.... and has not yet accepted full responsibility for it."

No doubt but that Rose was wrong in breaking baseball rules and for his mendacity which made matters worse. But then what about his accomplishments as a ballplayer? Should not performance be the standard for admission to the Hall of Fame? After all, some players enshrined, like Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb and a bunch of others, are not worthy of canonization. It is the Hall of Fame and not the Hall of Saints.

So how about Rose on the ballfield? He batted from both sides of the plate, ran like a deer, played five different positions and finished his career with more hits (4,256) and more games played (3,215) than any other player in the history of the Grand Old Game. Until Rose, Ty Cobb had been the all-time Hit King.

He won three batting titles, an MVP award, and was Rookie of the Year in his first year in the majors. Affectionately called "Charlie Hustle" by sports writers, he was named to 17 all- star teams and is the recipient of a number of gold glove awards. He had a 303 lifetime batting average.

He became an illustrious national figure with millions of fans of all ages. In Cincinnati during Rose's 24 years, he led the "Big Red Machine" to four national league pennants and victories in three world series. He has been enshrined in the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and in the mind and hearts of baseball fans the world over who have forgiven him and believe that he should be a member of the Hall of Fame

The Ohio state legislature has passed a bill calling for his induction into the Cooperstown Hall.

In his letter to Manfred in November of last year, Rose poured his heart out importuning Manfred for mercy, forgiveness and a chance at his being inducted into the Hall of Fame. In response to reporters, Manfred said that he himself believed that the ban was for life---period. Nevertheless, he seemed to leave the door open a crack for a possible change.

The question of "eligibility," said Manfred, when questioned a few weeks ago by Cincinnati newsmen, belongs in a "conversation" among members on the board of the Hall of Fame. Manfred, noting that he has a seat on that board, said "its just not appropriate for me to get in front of those talks." The positions of MLB leaders and of the board of the Hall of Fame are not necessarily the same, he said.

So the door for Rose is again closed ---at least for now. But there is always a possibility that the board of the Hall of Fame may withdraw its sword. Rose's extraordinary record on the baseball diamond cannot be denied. America has always been a kind and generous nation, and maybe its long arm of forgiveness will extend to the 82-year-old Pete Rose.

 xxx

Florida Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13997510536187166258noreply@blogger.com0
